Bubble Hash - Alpha Tech

Hell yeah! I would like to try it with fresh trim, I definitely would like to know how that turns out. I'm hoping the freeze/ thaw is enough to pull the trichs from fresh since fresh seem to hold on to the trichs a bit more. Let me know how that turns out!

Good idea warmachine, maybe some sort of silk screen layed inside a strainer could work, I'll see if I can make something like that too 8-)

I might try using a 45 bag if a 25 bag doesn't come in by Monday. Hopefully freeze 20g of trim/shake n see what happens! Usually get about 1.5g of oil so if I get 8-10% with bubble I'll be happy. I'll use probably just the 190u to filter and maybe 160. So 3 bags at most.

Right on man, a 45 should work well with most strains, 25u is really small trich heads and I think the only reason I was getting a bunch in the bag was because it was mostly sativa, but hybrids and Indicas will be totally fine with 45u. You'll be able to see in the water if anything made it through though, it'll be floating around I'm the run off 8-)

what if you do your tech while already in the 190 bag. that way any trichs that drop while thawing wont have to go through the material again. just a thought

Do you mean freezing in the work bag in a bucket? That could work possibly, I don't have enough space in my freezer for a bucket though, I wish I had a meat freezer, would make like much easier :p

yes. maybe stuff it in that pitcher you used somehow, then material etc. leave enough space that any trichs can sink through. dunno:eyesmoke:

Thank Urbman!

It took me a while to figure out a good combo of containers too warmachine lol, I think I'm going to try to build something for the next run at it, a trip to home depot is in order I think, I bet I could figure something out if I take a stroll through the store 8-) Make sure to shake a couple of times after it melts (but is still cold water, don't let it thaw for too long, I put the container in a bigger container of water to speed up the thaw but to still keep it cool). I think they shaking of the herb a couple times should make the yield much better. Oh, also, make sure the herbs don't float up around the edges of the bowl that holds the buds under water, the first time I did the run like 10% of the buds floated around the edge and up out of the water, good luck man! Keep me updated!

ps: I can't wait for the gg4 i have going to flower and finish, going to flip them tomorrow to 12/12 and when they are finished a fresh frozen run will be donebongsmilie

The combo I got down so far seems to be good! Doesn't give tooo much space to allow the plant to rise from the sides. I had the same problem with the herb floating on the sides too when I was using the 2 plastic containers. With the SS bowls, not much movement. I'll take pictures tomorrow! (It's at my works freezer lol). You mention make sure to shake a couple of times after it melts, do you mean when its all melted (but still cold) to shake/swirl it a bit?

Right on man! For sure a light stir or shake after its thawed but still really cold, I think it will loosen up the trichs that haven't fallen yet, doesn't have to be alot since most will already have fallen, so a couple light shakes or a dozen stirs should do the trick
