Let me first start this thread by :(:(:(. I am having emergency hand surgery Monday.... Harvest day. I was wondering if any one has had expieence with auto trimmers? How bad do I mess up the trichs. Is there a moderately priced one that won't destroy everything.

Advice on wtf to do will help... If auto trimmers suck and are just for mass harvesting and they mess your beatiful work up lemme know please. Appreciate all responses!

Depends on your skill of trimming/mancuring will be easier if you have many plants ( Not being smart) Also your strain depends on your ease of trimming, ect. Sativa's easier that indica's due to leaf structure

I use a knock-off 19" trimmer. I harvest 16+ 6' plants by myself and simply don't have the time to hand trim everything (I have rheumatoid arthritis). so in the trimmer they go. I prefer the wire wisp blades over the knife blade. I clean the wire wisps after every 3 or 4th plants, then back to work.

snip off the buds and snip down the large colas into manageable buds. snip all fans off and big sugar leaves. toss in trimmer, I spin it about 12-14 turns. put onto drying rack for 3-5 days (75* 50%rh in my dry room), then into jars for burping for a few weeks until I hit 55-60% r/h. then in goes 1 62% humidity pack.

I just sold my old 16" trimmer for this new 19" trimmer. the 16" wasn't doing the job quick enough. the 19" in great......for now until I upgrade to a cylinder type trimmer.
