So is it your intent to come off like a pompous ass or I'm getting the wrong vibe here? I mean that as an honest question considering the fact you think most NSN seed shoppers don't know squat.
Yes that was my intent. I wasnt sure if i was laying it on thick enough, i am glad that it didnt go unnoticed ;)

I know that you read my following comments as you had responded and even thanked me for the advise. Had I intended to respond to your little thread only to be an asshole, I dont think i would have wasted my time trying to give advice to new gardeners (that obviously need help).

Not necessarily you, but there are some very basic questions being asked, statements being made and questionable grow practices being described that indicates quite the lack of preperation and research that should probably have been done prior to even purchasing any seeds.

There are many great, knowledgeable growers here on RIU and we all love to help out a passionate new grower. The problem is that too many want everything to be spoon fed to them and in return they will receive pompous replies, or, as evident by the lack of well known members response to this thread, no guidance or help at all. But when a new grower asks for help, or makes a mistake and it is clear that they have spent quite a bit of time reading and researching for themselves, they typically will receive a great deal of feedback, respect & love from the community.

We have all spent countless hours researching and learning. The best advise you could ever receive is to read, read, read and read some more... ^^^ this is the reasoning for my pompous ass comment

But all of that said, i still took the time to give you a suggestion in regards to preserving your genetics. I then even went as far, following the flow and direction that this thread was going in regards to aquiring the proper minimal equipment needed to produce quality meds, and gave great examples of where to begin. (Not meaning to sound redundant, but even spending 20 minutes to search this forum or even google would have yielded a better solution then going to Lowes or getting scammed on craigslist for your growing equipment needs)

But hey, now I know better then to join into the discussion to give some helpful advise. I will no longer watch the blind lead the deaf into oncoming traffic. It is clear that everything here is under control... Carry on and Good luck with your grow.

The very reason why I felt compelled to ask honestly. I too have learned more here at RIU then I can possibly remember. I keep links to all the the relevent subjects that apply to my grows and techniques I seek to implement. I was most certainly confused by your comments looking down on certain growers and how you should the desire to assist in what seemed the same breath. I meant no harm to you or our relationship but, as I tried to state in so many words, I felt the need to keep things honest.

Not trying to get into anything but I have been following this thread out of interest of buying a pack or two of the seeds.

What the guy is saying, and I don't believe it's directed at you, is that some people posting don't have the equipment or knowledge to criticize the seeds how they have.
I think the decoded point is a few people complaining here don't know what the fuck they are doing in the first place and they are criticizing the beans when it's clear it's an operator error. Not you, but for example the dude complaining about a 2 inch main cola on a strain but blames the strain and not the budget CFL lighting.

Very well put FrostyPelican and in that case I would have to agree with amgprb as to the proper lack of knowledge and equipment. Like I said I wasn't looking to fight with him I just wanted to clear the air. I did try to get across in the kindest way that the CFL build was not the most efficient method for growth when I replied to that particular poster. I do stand behind the fact that there are some who have made it work but those growers use adavanced growing methods. I will say there is a post in the 12/12 thread were a guy grew out a serious plant with almost 400w worth the CFLs in a cardboard box, lol.

The couple on the end look a little slower than the rest. They look great though man. I don't see anything to worry about. They aren't clones so the genes will fluctuate a bit. Looking forward to seeing you finish a grow with this companies seeds. I think you will be the first I've seen.

Seems like growing a little pot was a whole lot easier 20 years ago. Hell we just dropped a few seeds and watch them grow. We didn't know anything about genetics we were just happy to have a little smoke. Lots of egos get in the way of our one common goal. The need for weed. I don't don't pass judgement on anyone's set up. I love this site and wish the best of luck to all.

Thanks my friend. A few of the leaves on on of my mango plants is dropping and turning yellow and brown.. Dont know what kind of smoke I will get but I believe/hope/know it has to be better then the brick weed thats floating around here. Thats getting harder to come by as of late. Neil Young sang about homegrown.

Man I've seen retarded seedlings and young plants that looked a lot worse than that come back and go over the top. I've only done a few soil grows. But they look fine to me. Just don't love em to death. From what I see already. The genes are fine. Just need to dial in your schedule. Feeding etc.

They don't look to bad they are only 15 days old. I guess I am worrying to much. Appreciate the inputs. I've not gardened any in 20 years back in my late teens. MJ is a special plant.

I couldn't resist ordering some of these for the money. I told them Clint from RIU sent me, and they doubled up my order. I got 60 fem seeds for about $35, 5 each of 12 different strains. Now, hopefully I'll get some good weed off them
