will a seedling survive with 1 cotyledon?

I just had 2 seeds sprout. Both have lost there shells. I see 1 seedling looks great. The other just has 1
cotyledon. Will it survive?

Chances are 50/50... considering with 2 cotyledons it would be 100%

cotyledon are baby leaves of the plant. As long as you have a leaf. Photosynthesis shall occur. The more leaves the better. Don't over love the plant. Smothering it with too much love = plant issues.
