I would never flower with mg but I think it's fine for mama plants. Would not recommend running it through flower though.

MG will work fine. But, you need strong hardy genetics. MG will probably mess up some sensitive strains. But, many of the autos out there are hardy ruderalis and they have tuff genetics. Bag seed is probably tough and that is what the commercial gorilla growers used to grow the brick weed anyway.

Organics and chemical nutes can get tricky. When they start to lighten up in color you should start with feeding. Be conservative with the strength of the food until you figure out how much your plants can handle. As far as other plant foods from Lowe's I found some liquid food I pushed some plants through flower with and they performed great. Stuff is called Vigoro. Picked up a small jug of the 10-10-10(with micro nutes as well)and it pushed em right through after stretch. That, MG all purpose in veg and calmag+ throughout the grow kept my girls good and healthy. Got some fat & tasty nugs after everything was said and done.

If your only option is MG though the tomato formula has good results through flower.
thanks for the info...I just cant get any good stuff like fox farm in less I drive hour an 30 down the road...I used the rmg garden soil and peat and perlite and grow some dank ass mids andi did not feed then one time...first time also ...got 3 ounces from each plant..if I could get a better soil like mg organic and actually feed them the whole time...I could probley get close to 6 ounces...I grow the worst way and still had great mids results for some reason..

why are you limiting yourself to the cheap bargain soils? crap ingredients will get you crap results.
I have to drive an hour and half down the road to get the good dirt and money is tight and I don't want to order online ether...just seeing if I could get some better shit from lowes besides mg garden soil...it work great with mids in the app mnts...

If you want the absolute basics on the cheap, Peters or Miracle Grow will work in a pinch. Go with highest Nitrogen rating for Veg (30-10-10) or just all purpose 20-20-20. For flower, Get something like 5-50-17, or 10-60-10. For seedlings, use 1/2 strenght for the 1-st month. After that you can CAREFULLY adjust a little higher. Peace- :joint:

and a pinto can get you from point A to point B. i am not starting to flame but there are better soils out there, fuck i started with MG my first grow but have since moved on. but with the reasons OP said, MG will have to work, just understand there is better.

Right on, if there is any possible chance to use a better soil, definitely do so, I've only one plant in a MG type soil and I'm not even sure how it got in there lol. Vermi-fire is a decent organic bag soil that may be easier to find than other "good" soils. Maybe the OP can find Vermi-fire easier than a FF brand.

Yeah, that's totally a good point. Some coco/ perlite is cheap and some bottled nutes, which ever organic/ synthetic, would work great and cost less than buying bagged soils. I tried lucas in my ebb system and wasn't too impressed, it did work ok though. Dyna gro would be just as cheap and simple, most likely better results.
