REAL OG, OFTEN IMITATED, NEVER DUPLICATED!

I have been popping shit tons of beans, on a never ending hunt for a better yielding plant, yet tastes and is just as stoney as the original OG i got from a buddy in Tahoe around 2002. I give up hoping, not trying though:-)
Here's a couple budshots of a CC buddha tahoe keeper i found @8.5 weeks from flip:

Better yielding:-) just not quite as good. Imagine that:roll:

Lanky, stretchy, and very sensitive. Clones like a bitch.

But why do I grow her?

Because she is the best medicine I have ever had.

So tasty, pinsol fuel funk with a side of citrus and skunk.

The high that is super strong, but not paranoia inducing. Hits you with a perfect balance of mind and body. Relaxing yet motivating and inspiring. No ceiling and no tolerance build up..

Is there such thing as a perfect strain?

There is for me...

I have a girl with that Pine funk... interesting. I got her in a mixed batch of CC seeds. I have a cola curing right now for test and she smells like a Christmas tree. Here she is :) Can't wait

there ARE og kush seeds

good s1's give excellent representations of the bench mark clones
again:you can actually sometimes find better plants
but generally the off spring are very close to the clone in every way
nothing is perfectly predicatble in genetics
but i assure you…there are s1 seeds of og kush, bubba kush ,ecsd, and gsc ..
you just need the right ones that come from an original clone
i have had both at the same time.. and occaisionally kept the s1 in stead
due to superiority

and the other statement i will say is:

" you will be surprised how many verifiable clones..actually name from fem seed, accidental or not"

as well seeds circumvent pests that come from passing cuts..

anyway..
Clones are good…
s1's off good clones are good
and this is only from experience
and so much has to do with how well you grow

That statement can be true but can be false. It depends on how homogeneous the plant is. A homogeneous plant will produce similar plants. A non homogeneous plant will not.

Being og kush doesn't breed well, I would go as far as saying a your statement would be the exception, not the norm. I, willing to bet that s1 og's would have variation and it would be difficult to find one spot on or close. Let alone better.

Living in a remote area, I have zero access to clones. Ive run RP og and og18. A couple of Swerves crosses but the best hands down was Dr Greenthumb

og kush breeds very well indeed
bubba, ecsd, chemdawg, gsc all breed very well
selfing poly hybrids are variable[-->poly]…though there are gems if you look….
i have found doc's are solid
swerves actual s1's of the clone were good
but taking the easy way out and using an [variable] out crossed clone makes alot of beans but not a lot of stabilty

There's no way GSC breeds true. We know it's a cluster fuck. And it is a new and exceptional plant from an unstable line. No chance to stabilize if it's even possible.

I don't know so much about OG but I'd guess it's the same.

You can find better but the odds aren't in your favor. Chances are you'll find worse.

I selfed some pre 98 bubbas a few times and had some really nice s1's................nearly identical, the only variation was density.....so I know this is true for bubba but og and others I have no experience.

.......fyi there is no kush in og OMS

Please excuse me for not being picky about gsc…you are correct
selfed gsc throws out plants that look like gsc…well most all of them..
and some look a bit like og, and some look a tiny bit like gdp..none look or taste like durban
and i am just going by what gsc is said to be made up of….
sheesh..nothing is perfect hahaha
out of ten..at least 6 will look like gsc…the others pretty dang close
og does the same except they basically all look like og
and yes a few people claim to know the make up of og…and i use the word og kush because that was what it was called
good posts you guys

Curious to know what you think about Archive OG seeds or if you've had any experience with them. @kgp
I've never ran archives gear but I've ran docs of from rare dank ness that uses archives faceoff mother. It was low yielding really good plant. Super tasty. I've heard good things about archive, good genetics.

Nice to know. Seems everyone has an "og" now days just using that as marketing. Seen the 3 leaf fan leaf growth and thought that was a good og trait from what I've read so far. If its as legit as they say I wouldn't mind the low yield. Quality over quantity any day. @kgp

Yes, three bladed leaves is a nice trait. Very vine like. Thin stems with space between nodes. Ghost is a true two hitter quitter. Sfv is not as strong but I think the og flavor is stronger. Great day time og, very social yet relaxing buzz. Same with ghost but if you over do it, she will put you to sleep. Very potent medicine.

This pinesol girl I got going... there's 0 lemon in her at all. This typical of any cuts? It was Ghost x Haze as I said. The Haze I'm not honestly clear if it's pure worked or one of the hybrids worked but I do know it's got a bit of rep amongst those who know. Anyway the F2's have produced all interesting plants for me. 2 keepers I think from 5 girls. Well, maybe keepers. We'll see.

Also, Pine tar Kush - what's the deal? Anyone know or tried ? Was reading some interesting things the other day about it. But you know how that goes. It simply a Pinesol dominant OG or is it a different Kush all together?
