hey guys I am looking for some ventilation advice. I plan on running two 600's side by side in a stadium grow. I'm a growing in a 5x4.5x8 foot tall closet. What size fan should I run for exhaust?

I'd use a 6" vortex. I like to try to double the volume of the room moved per minute. Maximizes CO2. Keeps temps low. You can get away with less (1x per minute should be more than fine) but on a hot day you'll want more.

You need to figure the "cfm's" for your growing space - the cfm's is located on the box/fan - air needsto be exchanged at least every 5-10 minutes. If want fromula let me know

the bigger the better. for less than 200 cu ft i'd suggest a fan that moves more than 300 cfm. how ever much the filter reduces it you should still get plenty of air flow. a 500 cfm wouldn't be overkill, imo. might be a little more noise though.

Thanks for the replies. I am leaning towards the 435cfm hurricane fan and 550cfm phresh filter combo . I am a little worried that it won't keep such a small space with 1200 watts cooled. Anybody have experience with a bare bulb vertical 1200 in a 4x5?

I am also looking at the 745cfm hurricane fan with 750 phresh filter. Any suggestions would be a appreciated. Thanks

if you don't mind spending the money, get the bigger with a fan controller. gives you some control on noise and temps. as long as incoming air is cool that much air flow should be way more than enough for a 600.

I recently set up my 1000w vertical with a slower in-line fan. It would work If I could keep the surrounding room cool enough. It was hard to keep the room that cool without completely separating the space from my living space.

I then switched the fan to a centrifugal fan which pushes much more air. Now the grow room stays about 7-8 degrees above intake temp which is normal house temp of around 70f. That gives me a grow room temp of 77-78 f.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I am going with the 8" just to make sure I have enough to cool the room.
