I feel a little left out...I didn't make dkane's hate list... I mean hit list. I thought I was the first one to tell him to pull his head out of his ass. I'm slipping!
I'll call him...I think he's at the hospital kicking the sick. Well he is cold blooded enough to become an LP and a Lawyer...maybe we underestimated him....the lil dickens.
I was so hoping to make him rich.
If he really wants to help patients he should go and sue some LP's...now that idea I like.

I wasn't going to post in here but after reading what you posted above I just can't let this go without saying something...you keep saying think of it as a pharmaceutical blah blah...what pharmaceutical company do you know of that is allowed to experiment on patients? Why should patients have to bear the growing pains of this over regulated industry? These lps should have been able to hit the ground running and provide what was needed. Instead patients have received sub par medicine at a premium price. I don't get what you don't get. What other prescription has a waiting list? Or has to be verified before it can be filled?

Now answer the questions Dkane.

And I wasn't referring to clinical trials.

Do LP licences expire? Or need to be renewed every year? Patients had to renew every year not only to possess but also to grow.

Actually, all pharmaceutical companies experiment on patients, it's called clinical trials and that happens to every drug. I agree that the LPs should have hit the ground running but unfortunately that didn't happen. Often drugs have waiting lists or are in short supply. I have seen many drugs back ordered in the hospital, including chemotherapy drugs. All prescriptions are subject to verification by the pharmacy filling it. Pharmacies are required to verify many prescriptions, especially for narcotics. This is nothing new or unusual.
I am not talking about clinical trials. Haven't clinical trials really been going on for the past several decades? I mean how many people have been admitted to hospital having severe side effects from getting stoned? How many people have died or been seriously injured from marijuana? How about those opiates approved by the government? And I find you attitude regarding lps not being able to produce quality medicine right out of the gate insulting. We are not talking about chemotherapy drugs...we are talking about a fucking plant...and a weed at that. verify my ass...pharmacists are about the money just like everyone else...you really aren't up on your current affairs are you? People are dying/becoming seriously ill because pharmacists aren't doing their fucking jobs. If I were to walk into a pharmacy today with a script for morphine, no one would think twice about it...patient history.

1) Clinical trials are required for all new drugs entering the market. 2) Many people, including children that have inadvertently eaten cannabis edibles have been hospitalized. None that I am aware of have died or had any serious long term outcomes. 3) ???How about those opiates?? Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying. 4) What attitude about lps, I simply said the truth that lps did not hit the ground running. I never said ANYTHING about lps producing quality medicine. 5) Yes, we are talking about weed, a plant. Many of our current drugs including all opiates (except synthetics), digitalis, aspirin, etc are plant based medicines. 6) Yes, talk to any pharmacist, they do have to verify prescriptions. You can make up any reality you want to believe, but I prefer the real one. 7) Please elaborate on "people dying because pharmacists aren't doing their jobs". I don't understand what this is in reference to. 8) If you walk into a pharmacy with a script for morphine, the pharmacist must verify the physician and the validity of the prescription.

But validating those scripts doesn't take weeks on end. Pharmacists not checking for mixing different drugs together...the outcome is tragic...I said lps couldn't produce quality medicine...have you seen some of the pictures of what is passing as medication? Really? This medication is prescribed to be smoked...people have been doing it for years and the market place has already been established...still no deaths...oh the children...right I forgot about the fucking children again...you know what I have children and I kept all meds out of their reach...ffs when I was 3 I ate a bottle of aspirin....mj is not going to hurt anyone...you might not feel right for a few hours but you're not going to die or become a vegetable...more propaganda...my reference to opiates goes to harm done...

People get hospitalized because if you go to a hospital and say " my body feels really heavy, I can't think straight,my motor skills are impaired, I'm dizzy... " they are clearly going to admit you. Even though all you really need to do is drink some water and sleep it off. Probably some newbs in Colorado that haven't tried it before it was legal. Kids I might keep a closer eye on.. Smaller and more susceptible to certain things.

The pharmacies around here know their shit. The pharmacist at Lawton's caught two errors from our family doctor. He almost mixed his antidepressants with two other medications that were not appropriate to combine.

I was actually wondering this exact thing today...but for patients
Do I renew again with health Canada this year....Is there even an avenue for this to be done....are they still putting out our pink slips....???
The injunction covers us but what happens when the paper work expires again....I can easily go see the doctor but what is the use of coughing up another 200 clams when the doctor actually has no where to send the paperwork anyways.

cool ...probably the best way to look at it...
I'm sure the doc wouldn't mind the visit ....nor do I mind visiting him....just each time I'm out of pocket...200 plus..bucks...
so right now if I don't need to...then I can't see the need to...
