Ive seen quite a few people in the newbie forum and here asking about leaf problems such as edges burning yellowing ect, and everyone seems very worried, thats why im posting my dirty secrets here lol shhhhh. I hand water very sloppy like and sometimes I get water on the leaves and the light burns them there. pic 1 and 2. and pic #3 is a badly wind burnt bottom fan leaf from my fan. Two very easily explained mysteries that look bad but are actually nothing to be concerned about. Stop worrying its a buzzkill.

"Badly wind burnt".... 8-)

I take it you've never grown outdoors?

4 seasons guerrilla growing in Malibu.( no longer have the balls to carry on a fifth season)
Home to intense winds through the Canyon. Wind burn? Please Son. Please.
You mean to ask have I ever grown outdoors? That is the polite non pompous way of starting conversation or are you trying to sound that way? I have wind burnt leaves in my artificially controlled indoor environment. Apples and orange my guy.

Couple of my strains hate the wind....leaves look totally butchered just in 20mph winds. And the others dont mind it at all

Yes I do agree and that is what is happening to my one plant in the picture she cannot tollerate any and I mean any breeze especially if god forbid the leaves are damp for any reason at all. I dont know her strain because these seeds were a gift but she hates dampness also. I do not care what the fan leaves look like its the finished product that better be good and it is... lol

I have experienced this plenty of times and in my experience, I think it isn't necessarily "windburn". In my opinion, it is caused by wind but not just by a single leaf having too much wind blown across it. It happens when two leaves are caused to constantly rub against each other from a constant wind. I think it's more of a friction burn than wind burn.

But then again, this is simply based off my experiences. I do not claim to be 100% certain, but at least 90%.

That is something I never did think about, leaves being beaten to death by eachother and the friction involved with that. Thankyou for opening my eyes to something I never thought about. Bravo my friend!

Is your objective to be as rude and confrontational as you can or are you just a bad troll?
