wow it seems like you are talking shit.... you sure didn't complain when you where doing dabs at the get together.... I think your just regurgitating something you read.... what if i up the temp... wouldn't that change the purge rate? might mess with flavor and color... where did you pull this 72 hour number

also as of aug. these labs in CO can only test stuff from licensed clubs

Hey @twitch, not talking shit. I felt that was common knowledge these days. Also after I saw you post before the gathering I knew it wasnt purged. I absolutely did NOT touch the extract you brought. Heard NOBODY complain either. And smelled great. Dude please understand I am knocking your quality and and the like, just stating that when folks buy tane by the case and use to purge there is an ass load of additives that are all very difficult to completely purge out.
these numbers that I pulled from the ether are given to me be through discussions with a few cats in the industry who get the extracts tested.
I do understand how shitty it is. there is no way for an individual to get there product tested. I feel it should be med card only IF they HAVE to restrict the tests some how.
There is a lot of info available on forums through people in the industry that is fairly reliable, keeping in mind, Just wading through the shit to find the gems is sooo time consuming. Good luck on all your endeavors.

I envy you guys. You're final product looks delicious! Both the flowers and the hash/wax/shatter you all make are amazing.

I see now how you guys don't waste your hard earned money on the crap being sold nowadays at dispensaries...well here in Colorado Springs..I havent been anywhere or smoked anything in 10 days., cannot speak for Denver and surrounding communities. Stuff is just plain weak, honestly I can smoke 5 bowls by myself and just barely be good for at most an hour. Shatter does it for me but it is just too damn expensive.

I hear ya there...well shit, with all the people making hash/shatter etc here I am sure they would help ya out..maybe..i dunno....seems like they want to hold the rare dankness to themselves, inwhich I dont blame them. But fuck man..help a brother out... If I didnt have so many obstacles in my life and fighting depression and anxiety I would grow and produce my own dankness

IMO the 6/6 plants that I give a dispensary I am not getting all that back in the final end. I did the math one day and it is amazing how much these dispensaries and their workers make out with FREE product....and dont tell me other wise. They should be "hooking" their members up but they dont..and it sux

According to the maths HB, 5 atmospheres is about 149.6 inHg or 5.06 bar (inHg and Bar is what my vac reads)... my chamber maxes out at just shy of 25 inHg or 0.85 bar last I checked, how the hell are you going to get 6x that as the home user at this altitude:cuss:

even as a home user with a 3 cfm 2 stage pump you can get max vac even at our altitude, the pump will 27 and some change on mine but that is the same as 29.9 at sea level.

there are too many variables when making concentrates to have just a set number like 72 hours, temp is one of them alot of the big guys that purge at these times are doing it at 90 I do my stuff at 110 to 130 depending on what i am trying to achieve, I have been playing around with 100 and the purge times can diffidently roll into the 3 and 4 days with a 60 gram slab.

also @homebrew420 I talked to the dispensary owner I consult with and he said there isn't a lab in CO that test residual solvents and hydrocarbons, to his knowledge so if you could point me in the right direction as to where these people get there stuff tested I would love to send my stuff in.

Twitch you are correct about the labs HERE in CO. I will see what I can do about getting more clear info. Glad this didnt turn into a pissing match or something. Really dont like offending folks, and want EVERYONES product to be as high quality and clean as can be. I will see what I can find.

The 72 hour thing is not a guideline, or a set time that is the "magic number" to purge out butane. twitch is right. Variables. There is thin film purging, high temp purging, low and slow, large Slabs, or small oil mass slabs, lotta different ways to skin this cat. The only issue I see with home/open blasting, is the "mystery oil" , the solvent needs to be distilled and recaptured without the mystery oil, which is removed after one cycle in a closed loop system. i assume this is common knowledge.
