How much flush?

Do I flush daily or do I wait until the soil dries out? My Jack the ripper is on day 38 and her triches are 2% amber and 90% cloudy. The rest of my crop is a week behind. I'm battling powdery mildew and want to keep the humidity down as much as possible. Also, I use Hi-brix in place of molasses. Should I continue every time I flush or should I quit using during flush?

If your already trying to keep humidity down due to moisture related issues then it makes no sense to flood your pots. If your worried about finishing up without leftover nutes in your soil then just use plain water the last few waterings. Flushing can become a heated discussion around here and I'm not trying to do that but most older growers, myself included, don't flush. (Forrest Gump; 1994)

Yea I'm with you racer, not at 38 days. Maybe it's a tinted loupe.

Get a 420 scope or equivalent from amazon. Don't rush it. It'll be worth the wait.

I've seen them cheaper but this is the first link I found.

PS I don't flush.
I've got a good loupe already. I'm looking at them under a 600w hps and 16 blue CFL's. I look and see, maybe between 1 and 5 carmel colored trich'es per leaf. Mostly cloudy but still some clear.

the color of the lighting might be tricking your eye into thinking the color of the trics are different then what they really are ime..
try looking at them under more natural lighting and see if you still see the same things..
Danke, I didn't think of the color of the light! If my camera worked better, I'd post a pic.

just a quick question first before you get crazy.. when did you start counting days of flowering? the day you flipped to 12 / 12, or something different?
I count from the day I see the first pistils/hairs. Jack the Ripper is a 7-8 week flowering period. I flipped them around 11/8, first hairs on 11/14. They'd been overly stressed prior to that and also started flowering due to a hospitalization. When I got back from hospital, they'd started flowering due to being in 0 light for 5 days!!! I reverted them back into veg for an additional 3 weeks to bulk them up before flowering. I've had multiple probs from spider mites {foliar & systemic TX w/ Avid} at beginning of flower and Powdery Mildew {TX w/ 8.75 ph water, baking soda, milk, etc.} from the time it was a clone. I've been able to keep up on it so far and really CANNOT fuck this round up!

Something I do is I'll take a sample of sugar leaves and a few calyxes from different parts of the plant, take those "samples" to normal lighting, give my eyes some time to adjust to normal lighting then I examine them.

I have a tough time holding the damn things still enough to be in focus, not to mention the HPS.
I do the same, take a sugar leaf tip, lay in on a table or book & use a lighted scope.

The resin heads on the sugar leaves will mature and or amber more quickly than the buds.

Check the buds, not the leaves, for a more accurate estimation of your time remaining.

Yeha 38 days double check the trics.. and yes flush! U can even use a flushing agent that makes them taste real good!
Even my old man can taste the diffrence! And hes been smoking for 50+ years!! he says he wishes he had this kind of bud when he was young.:-P
