So we have some small plants started on 12/12 on the outskirts of our main garden. Everything we have originally came from one CFL. They are beginning to show sex and my Hindu Kush (Kiwi Seeds) showed pistils today. My 3x3 is filled with plants so I decided to top the HK at the 4th node and move her into my germination/veg box on 18/6. My main garden is about 2 weeks in, so by the time they finish, the Kush will be nice and bushy and ready for a transplant. I'll throw her under my 400w MH/HPS system and veg for 6-8 weeks. I also have an Afghani in the main garden which is probably a female but hasn't shown sex yet. I just moved "her" into the veg room - just a box with a home-made reflector (aluminium pan) and a 65w 2700K CFL. It's psgs -style (poor starving graduate student) and it works fine for germination + vegging for the first 4-5 wks. That's also valuable power I don't have to waste wattage germinating/vegging small seedlings under my HID lamp

DSCN0877.JPG The Afghani - Homegrown Fantaseeds- Strong stinky smell, female growth pattern. No pistils yet, but I'm 99% sure it's female. I predict she will be short throughout her life. It is now vegging alongside the Kiwi Hindu Kush. Haven't decided if I'm going to top her, as she is very short and squat. We will see how it goes :joint:

LoL bongsmilie Thanks dluck / I'm totally stoked about the 2 Indica females in veg / Both are stinky (especially the Afghani). Can't wait to see what they will produce under my HID

DSCN0879.JPG Just switched over to the Super HPS to get those calyxes going. I had to fim some 1/2 " off the top (haircut) of 2 colas which got burned by the HID. I expect they will recover in due time. Sleestack Skunk in the front, leaning in towards the bright Lamp. This is the only plant in the garden which hasn't been topped. I want to keep her as a single cola, and eventually move her closer to the light. Easier said than done, as my 5 other girls are hogging all the prime real-estate under the HID Lamp.

DSCN0866.JPG The little germination / veg box can accommodate 6-8 seedlings comfortably, for the first 30 days of growth. These are young Amnesia and Durga Mata II plants, all topped @ 3rd or 4th node. They were transplanted /placed under the HID a few days after this pic.
