Mabey to much Nitrogen? Supersoil growing question

I have been noticing that when I bring my vegged plants into the flower room that they are a little on the dark side and seem stalled/stunted and take a few days under the 1000 watter to burn off the nitrogen and start fresh growth to begin the stretch period. They dont look nice and light green like afrter they begin stretching. Now I veg under one of those 8 bulb t12 400 watt fixtures and they appear more green under them bluer lights. I do use a drop or 2 of superthrive and some hygrozyme a little for root growth. Trying to build my root zone to get ready to flower. Could this be my issue? I was thinking that my batch of supersoil has a little rich blood meal? I have been makeing 1/3 batches of supersoil and filling my pots half full. Is half full to my supersoil? I had thought that was like you recommend.

Cool...thanks....Grasshopper

Its normal for my plants to be dark green the first few weeks in Super Soil and when they finally take off they go like race horses

imo ss needs hid lighting. transplanting in ss and vegging under florescent is no good. there is a shitload of energy in these pots and you really need the demand of the hid to warrant all that power in the pot. i dont know if you can but u should veg under a thowie. m.h. and just switch the bulb to hps after transition. the plants sound locked up too me.

if you have too much N the very tips of your leaves should start burning. also they might slightly bend downward or the infamous 'claw leaf'

I do understand what you are saying. I have one of those 400 watt t5 8 bulb lights from hydroshit I meen hydrofarm. My cabnet gets pretty warm with that light but if I got a cooltube or a regular aircooled hood it would be better ya. I will look into replaceing the t5 with a 400 watt hid. I do flower under a thousand watter. This makes sense....especially if you have read through all the lucas threads where he talks about feeding the plants according to the light size. Well he discusses that a plant can take more nutes with more watts.

Thanks Kushking42.....Im thinking that this will help. I already have a 400 watt ballast laying around. Anyone wanna buy a hydrafarm light..hehe

If you can swing it, drop the coin on a 1kw for veg. You're ladies will thank you buy exploding into big beautiful bushes. Hortilux Blue rocks. There's something very special about it too, because the girls veg amazingly fast under the blue, much more so than a regular MH.

I am using super soil and my leaves are getting the infamous claw but they were just transplanted to SS about a week ago hopefully they get used to it.

What are the temps like? Is there some sort of intake from outdoor fresh air? If its too cold that can happen.
