The differences between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party

I didn't say anything about being corruptible, I said humans don't generally start out that way.
Gotcha.

I have to think of myself and the people I come in contact with. We all have our price. I like my job, but it's still a have to not a want to. If someone offered me 10X the money to do 1/10th the work I would most likely take it even if I didn't like it that much.

To put it in a representative perspective, I'm saying that if a bill came up that I and my constituents cared very little about one way or the other and someone offered millions to my campaign to help pass it or defeat it, I would probably take it. And I'm genuinely a decent person. I know I can be bought, I don't know what my price is, but pretty sure I have one. Knowing this, and knowing that I trust myself infinitely more than any politician I'm aware of, I want their power to effect me limited.

Present hierarchy, Federal gov ---> State gov ----> local gov ----> my house. This should be the complete opposite. The only way to enact real change for the individual is on the local level first.

Most of congress are millionaires times over.

The comparison of you v. Members of Congress is not a true comparison.

Understood. This just means my price probably starts lower than theirs. Once I've made my millions my price would go up too, but I don't think I'm the lone ranger.

I could never run for public office anyway, I smoke pot.

Give me one long weekend, a team of libertarian lawyers and dictatorial powers and I could fix quite a bit that's wrong, but there would be very little social engineering. I would be hated by both sides.

My goal would be to undo, not do.

I agree. I am a genuinely decent person as well, but I have a price.

Harry Reid had a price too, and it was apparently paid many times over. The country bumpkin from Search Light, NV is a multi-millionaire and he has never done anything but politics. What was Harry selling all these years?

Hillary and Bill, poor as they are, have about $200,000,000. That's a lot of zeros for people who have done nothing but politics. I wonder what they were/are selling?

Chelsea Clinton is a multi-millionaire. I wonder what she is selling, it can't be chins?

Congress is immune to insider trading laws.

Skylar said they were all millionaires. But that is ignorance, or someone TOLD her that and she just accepted it as fact.

Only on AVERAGE are they all millionaires, Sky doesn't understand how an "Average" works.
You have 300 people, the top guy is worth $400 million, and the other 299 people are dead broke. $400,000,000/300=$1,333,333.33

In Skylars world they are all millionaires and deserve scorn for daring to have money.

All I am giving the wife this year is jewelry, the jewelry store salespeople wrapped them for me already. My wife does everything else, because my wrapping skills have much to be desired.
I either buy bags or have it wrapped. People get really critical of the way gifts are wrapped and I don't feel like trying that hard.
