Prime time top drop humidity, and alternatives to dehumidifiers?

Weeks 3+ is when you really have to watch for mold although I really don't think you'll have any issues at 50% ime as long as you have air circulating. I've had RH as high as 70-75 in peak production time in flowering and I prevented mold by using an osculating fan and cycling the air out constantly.

You can't.

At least, not that I can think of.
Im trying to find a way to plug my fan into two temp controls that are on two separate timers so for lights on the first one kicks on to keep it at 75 and then lights off the second one kicks on to keep it below 70 cause that would fix my humidity problem cause my room is constantly at 73 degrees.

I think for this grow you need to go with the heater, next round you should have a solution for this before you start. I like DIY, so I could build you a solution, but there will be splicing involved, I would use a $20 thermostat for a furnace.

Splices are no biggie. I prefer to use solder and shrink tubing, but there's always those flip top splicers.. even wire nuts if you have to.

Every space heater I've seen throws off light, but then.. I rarely see or use a space heater. What do people normally do about this?

The fellows ceramic one I have puts off no light I can detect except from the power led, a piece of electrical tape will eliminate that.

You can also just put a male end on the second controller's output and use a 2 plug Y adapter/splitter. The only concern is to make sure your controllers have something to prevent back flow. If they don't, you need a relay.

If you use the low setting a regular cheapo timer will work, the high setting will require a fancy heavy duty one like you use with big lights.

instead of buying a heater and making a jerry riged timer, which doubles the chance of fire your so parinoid about. why not just spend the money on the dehumidifier and be done with it. if you can fit a heater in there, than a dehumidifier should fit as well. just saying

I have a small portable dehumidifier and I tried it but it only dropped the rh 2%. The larger one wont fit properly. Im gonna put another hole in the ceiling and put another vent setup in and set one for night temps on a timer and the other one on day temps on a timer. I wanted to avoid this and possibly find an alternative, but whatever another couple hundred bucks for safety and piece of mind I guess is a small price to pay. I appreciate the help my friends. Merry Christmas.
