Hey guys, sorry if im posting in the wrong section only been here 3 days. I have a question. My floor space is 18"×36" , will a hood that is 19" long cover the whole floor space if it were say 20" above the floor?

Depends on the exact hood, but almost certainly yes with the light 20" high it would spread enough to cover more than 40", but will your plant tops stay at least 20" from the hood? If not side ones will get less. In any case make sure you have nice reflective walls, ceiling, floor. There will be hot spots.

Well again floor space is 18"×36" , pots and plants are 9" high because i do major lst. I will put the glass 10" above my plants, just wondering if that 19" long euro hood at 20" from the floor would light the whole 36" area.

Let me re word this. My plant canopy will be 18"×36", the hood is 19" long, at 10" above the canopy, will the hood light the whole canopy? I didnt know if the footprint was locked at the length of the hood itsself or if the footprint spread the higher up i go.

Honestly in that box that light makes no sense. In all these short little grow boxes a lower profile light makes more sense. With only 10" from hood to plant you won't get very good direct distribution on either end of the box. It may work anyway if you have the whole thing reflective.

250 hps izts a smallish space i want air cooled but afraid it wont cover the 36" width. Im also considering the small adjust a wing. For its bigger spread
It wont effectively cover the 36 inch width. 24 is about the best a 250 can do. Maybe consider some CFL side lighting?

What do you mean? 250 is perfect for the cab. Its 4 1/2 sq ft, and its not short. Inside its 60" tall. But it dont matter i decided to go with adjust a wing defender. But i could use an opinion on my passive intake?

I didn't read all responses so mine might be redundant but to answer your question about the euro hood the answer is no & a big no .

I own 6 of the euro hoods with 400 hps for side lighting when i grow full plants instead of sea of green while im waiting on mothers to develop , with a 400 you'd be straining the limits of the little reflectors light throw range for the 3ft area.

A 250 watt in any type hood is way too small for a 3ft space , also with 250 watt , 400 watt & 600 watt bulbs your plants will stretch big time with the reflector 20 inches away ,20 inches is too far even for a 1,000 watt light in most cases .

Sir, you seem to know a bit, let me ask you, my exhaust is a 4" inline like 160cfm or something, its the growbright 4" fan, my questionis, for my 4" exhaust, as i am using 2" holes for my passive intake, how many of the 2" holes would i need to equal double the exhaust?
