HSO-Blue Dream

Ok so I have to give this strain a shoutout. It's been my keeper for the past 4 years. I bought 20 seeds, germinated them got 16. Then for the next year I pheno hunting through those 16 phenos ( I did get rid of 4 initially because the branching was really lanky. Grow in SOG so that's just not an option). Down to 12. After testing their were really just two dominant pheno types. A small bud blue berry dominate and huge bud haze dominant.... Then there was pheno number 6. My baby. It had the best of both worlds. Huge buds and huge flavor. The node space was so right at first it was hard for me to get enough clones from it for it to work in my setup (don't keep mothers just clone off plants when I lollipop). It's unconventional but I top my plants on day 3 veg. Gives the lower branches enough to time to catch up to give me clones without taking his producing branches. This strain is an easy feed, can take a beating and a huge producer IF YOU PHENO HUNT. Hope this helps someone decide to try out these seeds. You won't regret it.

So do you run a sog setup? Funny I have 4 in veg. I was going to put them in flower sog style and see how they turn out.

Sure do. 16 plants to a 3x3. 25 to a 4x4. What's your setup, I don't think 4 is enough for a SOG. Might want to veg those out and clone them. Flower those clones.

My bad. I wasn't clear enough. I have 4 in veg where I'm able to take at least 30 clones from. I was going to do sog. From rooted clone straight to 12/12. Do you veg your rooted cuttings before the flip to 12\12.

Yea I veg for one week. Just wanna let the roots grab ahold of media. My plants go into flower around 6 to 9 inches and end around 30 inches. What is your medium?

Thanks for sharing this. Great timing, I let my HSO bd "seedling" veg for to long. Its time time to pick my next run and I was contemplating up potting the blue dream clone her and flower the clones. After reading this I'm mixing soil tonight. Next run:blue dream and ?...:) thanks again for helping me decide.

I use hydroton or sunleaves rocks in 6 inch square 6 liter pots. 16 plants per 600. 25 per thousand. With a week veg. If no veg 25 per 600 and 36 per thousand. (600 is a 3x3 flood tray an 1000 is a 4x4). You should really think about vegging twice as many as you need and keep the strongest. There will always be slackers.

Recently ran my first one, got lucky with the small bud (huge colas, small/medium buds) blueberry pheno you described, nice yield, incredible blueberry/sweet smell. Have 4 seeds left, would love to find that lager bud haze pheno in there. This was the first seed, pulled 7 zips in a 7Gal pot a couple of weeks ago.

Looks like you did a really good job with the plant man. Especially for no pheno hunt. Only with great genetics can one pop a single seed and get something good back from it.

Excuse me, only great genetics and a good grower can make a single seed work well.
Thanks, got lucky on the pheno and the new lights I'm using (Philips CMH Elite Agro) did most of the work, just kept her healthy. That's the other thing I was impressed by besides the obviously good genetics with this HSO BD, this was the easiest plant I've grown in a long time indoor or outdoor. It took well to any training (LST/FIM/Super-cropped) and no significant defs right through veg & flower. Will be in my line up for a while, taste testers so far have had great reviews, it's pretty well gone once I finish curing it, other than a small personal stash.
