I see you are using Hydroton are you straight hydro?
What system of growing are you using?
Ebb n Flow is in my Veg, I use tap water, I don't air out to remove chlorine.
In Fact I add Dawn Ultra, 1/2 tsp to 10 gallons in my reservoir.
(Not anti microbial Dawn!)
My plants have never looked healthier.
Started adding it to stop a gnat problem, problem was gone in72 hours!

I scooped the suds up and dumped them on the plants letting it run through my rock wool back into the tray.
I then rinsed with PHed water in my sprayer.
Did it 3 days in a row, now I just add some to my Resevoir.

Bless,
DZ

Oh yea, check Your PH daily but if it drops consistantly use your tap water to raise it.

My tap water is 7.2 ph, I run feeds at 5.85-5.95 ph..
;-)
I am using DWC. Sprouted in rock wool and placed it in hydroton. I dont have a prob with it dropping seems to rise up in one faster then the other. I really have to figure out the problem more spots are starting to come up and more pieces of the leaves are starting to deteriorate. :-(
oh yea: my PH comes out the tap at about 7.5 at 100 ppm. THE RAIN WATER I USE IS AT ABOUT 3 ppm AT ABOUT 4.5 ph.

Freedom fighter, something I just thought of, you might wanna call the lowes or Home Depot first considering it's not OUTDOOR garden season. They don't realize ppl like use garden year around

Looks to me like the splashed vinegar caused your problem.
Do you see damage in the new growth?

Your nutes lower the PH of your solution correct?
They do in my home and I have very similar tap water.

I ph to 5.94 and my PH drifts down slightly in veg and flower, I use rock wool and Hydroton in a Hempy drain to waist setup.

I use tap water to adjust for PH drop in my reservoir.

The run off from my hempys runs lower and I adjust the PH up to 6.0 sometimes higher.
Then the drop ends at the desired ph level before needing to add more water/nutrients.
Good Luck,

DZ

I use a drip PH tester so i dont really notice a big drop. i bring it to a 5.8 and it ALWAYS seems to rise never drop. I use rock wool but I didnt think it would raise it that much. Yes I have been seeing brownish orange spots on new growth.

ok ppm is at 532 after adding nutes subtracting my tap ppm makes it 432. im in 2nd week of veg. plants are 31 days old. Should I add more base nutes to bring it to like a 632?
