Nutrients don't move into the plant until they are broken down into a ION, of which I posted the explanation of an ION, so when people make stupid statements about nutrients changing the taste, i want them to know that it is not nutrients that causes that, After photosynthesis takes place and changes the ions into glucose that then go to the rest of the plant, it is the glucose that moves up and down and through out.
the fruit does not store nutrients, so How can it taste like nutrients?
I mean seriously, tell me any fruit in the world that tastes like nutrients/salts when over fed? I say it all the time, burn some sugar, then burn some salt, then quit making stupid statements.
You do realize no living creature does anything with 100% efficiency?
If too much of an element is taken in, it does affect taste noticeably. Most store bought fruit is nasty. I'm 25% Polynesian, and I can eat a bag of oranges a day. It is overfed, and artificially ripened.
It may not be in the same form compound, but the elements that make the molecules that make up the cells are still there unless excreted through some plant process.
You are right on the sugar burning part. But you'll notice if you overdose the nutes (3 plants, 3 brands nutes), the sugars end up tasting different when burnt. And the amount (and sometimes color) of "sparkles" in the bowl varies. Thats the overabundance of an element, commonly misclassified as nutes. Which they are, but aren't, all depending on semantics.

Man, I hate to keep making you look stupid, but your statements are so far off, i feel I must teach you photosynthesis, I mean, I even posted pictures to make it easy for you.
You are making yourself look stupid. Does the plant perform alchemy or cold-fusion and change one element into another? Those elements I keep mentioning are required in every cell for cellular reproduction. Why don't you crack your middle school science books? Glencoe has some easy to digest material.

the plant only takes in what it needs, to much nutrients fry the roots which then leads to chloro sis. basic plant botany dude
You act like no one overfeeds their plants?.......... Yeah, a combo of basic physics and plant biology, a form of life sciences. ELEMENTS need fusion to change. The plant is not the fucking sun. It changes molecule for molecule, discarding some elements, keeping others. Keep in mind, ITS NOT GOT 100% efficiency either. You act like this is different in people. What you fucking eat makes a difference. Your body takes in what it needs. Doesn't mean it can say, filter 25ml of an arsenic solution.

no actually, most people over feed. oh, and another big word
  1. Metal chelate compounds are common components of fertilizers to provide micronutrients. These micronutrients (manganese, iron, zinc, copper) are required for the overall health of the plants. Most fertilizers contain phosphate salts that, in the absence of chelating agents, typically convert these metal ions into insoluble solids that are of no nutritional value to the plants. EDTA is the typical chelating agent for this purpose.[16]e ...

yeah, i got one in my garage, what's your point?
Why dont you get the elemental readout of the same tomato clones grown chemically versus organically?
I guess a minimum of 0.35% difference (max 2.75%) in total makeup.
And some pretty random elemental combinations will be making their debut depending on what molecules and ratios are in the chem fert.
I doubt anything poisonous, as they've done scientific studies on this, but definitely some bitter metallic tasting compounds.
Even organic smoke can be harsh, but nowhere near what "smoking nutes" is like. When you get a blister on the side of your tongue from smoking 3 metallic-ass hits, you know you got "nutes." Or rather elemental abundance.

Way to try and say I'm looking stupid......
Why don't you, you know, spew some RELEVANT info?
And avoid copy-paste:wall:

We run all non chelated nutes. Chelates stay in the plant. Cause cough, scratch, bitter and other tastes. Some companies add niacin to the chelate to give you a face flush. And all that cheap nutes you use I bet you can't even taste all that crap after smoking it this long.. Smoke your crap weed In my pipe and you will know. Lol.

right, that is why people choose my stuff over others EVERY TIME, they NEVER say it tastes like chem and some even go, whoah, you did a good flush, and I just laugh.

I'm so picky I cant stand a lot of the local weed. Most of it is smell less, has little taste, stems stab your thumb if you crush the bud. I think they all feed too much P. Even in my vape some of these 3gram nugs are like vaping .25 grams of cfl weed, and it tastes like sunleaf. Sometimes they even smell like soap. But its local.
I go through lots of good weed though, enough to be completely wasteful with the free outdoor "trash" weed.
Paul tokin has had his influence on me, I clean my glass all the time. To the point where my family and friends complain that I'm cleaning when they want to be smoking that instant. So much resin in the sink.

funny you say that, guess what I use for nutes, a 20-10-20, low P formula.

You truly are stupid. Chelates stay. Some forever. Heavy metals stay in plant. And these buds are not fruit idiot. And I've grown fruit and veggies in different nutes and had way different tastes. You don't know a thing about weed. Just what you've read and interpreted wrong.
What's you damn point? I took 8th grade physical science too?
Soil Temp vs. Air temp is the main thing moving nutes up and down. Its part of the day/night cycle. Apply heat differentials to a viscous fluid inside the veins. Its the same principles as ocean currents or weather patterns.
Osmosis is moving the nutes in an out.
If I remember right, just before lights on is when the concentration of nutes is at its minimum inside the plant. Its hardly noticeable though. You do it at the end of the cycle because you want the effects of a full 12hrs.
I fail to see how this info was at all relevant. You just defined two terms without explaining how they apply in this situation. I don't even think there was a point, other than trying to sound intelligent.
This is what aunt B and Chuckster do. Tell people they are wrong but don't show any proof. Like 12 year olds. And the cartoon diagrams he comes up with....

right, the guy says osmosis is what moves nutes and you agree, you have no right to call anyone stupid

Good for you. You must be one of a kind.:wall:

Go read some books.
You know some info, but you are horrible at applying it all at once in a practical way.
Hundreds of known plant processes going on daily, more than likely there's more going on we don't know about.
You keep poorly explaining the same processes, without relating them to the previous, next, or concurrent processes.
You are very narrow/close-minded.
Ignored.
