There's something very cool about the way they all come together to lock into one big mass. Also, the extra protection it's providing for the THC as it layers over seems important in terms of degradation. And, trimming is so much easier.

I know. Ive been thinking about dialing down my pot size and only do christmas tree style sog with 5 gals. I run 10 gals now, Mainly because I have way too many strains and I don't want to drop any of them. Once I narrow down each strain to one pheno. I'll still have 16 strains.

That's a lot of strains man... kudos for having the mind for it... I am taxed at keeping track of like 4-6 strains once I harvest some good smoke to ruin my focus and memory. ;)

5 gal containers in sog style? I usually see sog done smaller and they go 12/12 from clone. You'd be vegging them out a spell I take it if you did 5 gals?

I went on seed buying spree at all the cups and festivals an Mo hooked me up with seeds. I'm addicted to collecting seeds / strains o_O.:P

yeah 4 week veg instead of 8-12 week veg. Water only soil. living organic soil , cootz mix. Don't really need to keep track. The plants eat what they want.

Yeah I thought about it after and figured you probably were in a soil mix... that is the key for lots of strains! haha. Your sog idea sounds sound to me!

Smell is phenomenal... probably one of my favorites so far... fuely/racey with a strong "juicy fruit" esque tropical fruitiness in one pheno and more of a citrus lemon background in another... I think there's a third but hard to decribe.

I haven't trimmed any yet but I tried a little that got cooked by being too close to the T5 for a while... don't think that's a fair sample though, most of the thc was probably destroyed frying on the light for a spell.

Anyway, I felt it, but couldn't describe it, I had already been toking other stuff before it. Definitely looking forward to giving it a good straight up test...

Trichomes being gooey or sandy, that I am not getting entirely... can't say I've ever noticed such variations.. you mean when wet or dry?

Are we talkin under normal observation or under magnification? Maybe I have not grown out enough strains to recognize the variation you are describing.

I have the same problem JD, haha. I really try to be accurate but if it worked well I usually have a fuzzy recollection anyway... heh... smell and taste are an interesting similarly complex situation thanks to the adaptability of the sense of smell (like the way you stop smelling the "base pot smell" underneath the fine differences when you consume it constantly, for instance... and the relative sensitivity fluctuations in general from vaping so much I'm kind of stuffy, heh) With low tolerance the bouqets are a lot more.. uh... possible to articulate?... heh.

The NLxNL makes me feel fuzzy and relaxed nicely. Combines well with the diesel, which is a little anxiety provoking but also really enticing in it's "savory" qualities, like a sexy lady who is out of my league. ;) This C99 is go-stuff... flavor isn't as enticing as Diesel (yet, should improve with cure, there's relatively more leaf in c99--will be better after curing a bit) but it makes up for it in energy supply. I don't find it anxiety provoking unless, perhaps, I have too much, which is entirely possible because it's potent shit. I almost 'greened out' one night at the end of trimming, from the scissor hash.

I am thinking about doing some indica shopping soon... we'll see how the CJxGM treats me, it's got a lot of indica influence showing. I'll keep rolling that for indica if it satisfies the need.

I know everyone loves that sativa buzz but god, the indica hum is really refreshing when the majority of your crop is sativa and you're buzzin' all day. I tend to save the NL for late night to help me conk off (works very well, I throw on a show and don't make it through an episode, barely remember packing it the next morning) but I tried some this morning and it's nice to just chill on it too. Might take a bath...

I also have the Nor'easter clones kicking... if they see a healthy future (bout to start a neem oil based battle some spider mites that came with the clones from my friend) I'll probably keep that and CJxGM both on for the indica side coverage.

This is my first encounter with them... it's not too bad yet thanks to good low temperatures each night lately... I think I'll be able to best them... i am gonna buy a new sprayer bottle and go to town... I have heard every 3 days... but is every day better?
