Both actually. I have a house full of plants, some rare, some delicate, etc. I enjoy growing them just as much as I enjoy entheogens. Salvia Divinorum is on my list of plants to try and grow, as well as to experience. I'm not new to psychedelics by any means. I'm also aware of how to properly use the plant to avoid unpleasant outcomes.
I'm also in a state in the US that currently prohibits the sale of the plant. So even if I wanted to buy it instead of growing it, I couldn't. Unless someone happens to have some seeds, which I hear is rare.

From personal experience I can tell you it's something you don't want to play with.

Topping your packed bowl with some 10X extract will have you bumping.

Don't pack a fat bowl and take a huge rip unless you want the realest ride of your life.

But if you want the real deal you need to buy a cut and grow it. I saw a link before about buying legit cuts from Oregon.

But the real way to smoke it is off a chalice.

thats cool.i hope you like it..imo,no matter how you wrap a turd, you still have a turd..some people like the stuff,i never got anything but a headache and a bad taste from the stuff...theres a few threads out there on it tho..keep looking, good luck!
I've heard the whole spectrum of reports from it and I think a lot of the negative ones are because of inferior product and or misuse. Smoking it is the worst way to use it for one.

I've tried getting the company to send me a cutting, but they vehemently refused as my state is super conservative on drugs.
I've melded with the universe and experienced stuff there are no words for, I'm open to what Salvia may bring me.

this is the worst trash ever lol just grow mushrooms instead way easier and cheaper
Everyone has their opinions and not everyone will like every entheogen they try. Salvia can be a very, very intense experience, some have said it can rival DMT, psilocybin, and lsd under the proper circumstances.
I do grow them ;) The gf and I just ate some last night to celebrate Halloween actually.
Again, I'm a botanist with a large interest in growing entheogens, for the product as well as the actual growing experience. I'm not looking for your opinions on the plants psychological affects (Not that I don't find them interesting or without value). I'm purely looking for first hand knowledge on the cultivation of the plant.

@Midwest Weedist I have to say I completely disagree with the general sentiment here. I have used Salvia many a imes. Rew, smoked eaten (dont suggest the quid as it is so horribly bitter), extracts of varying potentcy. Never a bad time.
As for growing it so long as its legal to possess order one from ebay. They are fairly easy to identify from other Salvia/sage species. THey will grow very fast once established in bright indirect light, in fact the make some of the hardiest house plants I have ever seen. Not the prettiest if light starved, they stretch to reach the light flop and break if there is not enough.
I have been growing S. divinorum for well over 7 years now. Same plant, every couple years I have to replant, knocking the soil from the roots and pruning then a replant with some recycled cannabis media. They root very easily, in a cup of water over the course of a week if the plant is fed properly and actively growing..

Good luck homes
peace
