Sorry, could someone please fill me in on what PM is and weather it is ok to smoke/ Vape? I've heard of bikies sprinkling glass dust over the plants as they grow but not to sure what to think of that one. Cheers for all the replyed dudes
You will be glad to know that the glass dust thing is just an urban legend, 100%

i have found some glass shards in a 1/2 lb of a friends shake, but yeah myth
Well, there's a difference between someone accidentally getting some broken glass into a half pound bag of shake and people intentionally spraying their buds with glass crystals to increase the weight/appearance of the bud. I've found tons of dog hair in shwag over the years but it doesn't mean it's being added intentionally to trick me into thinking it's better, it usually just means someone was careless when switching containers.

You get dog hair from container switching :O did not know. My fan is usually my problem, catching any randomly floating dog hairs and directly depositing them on my bud only to be picked off later.

At one of the grows I helped at, there was 3 pit mixes that all insisted i pet them whenever i was busy with plantwork. They would wag their tails INTO the plants -_-

Yeah, my dogs love to lay out in the sun next to the plants, or in very hot days under their shade. I don't mind much, living with dogs you learn to live with the fact that everything you consume inevitably contains a little bit of them in it haha

So true :)

Cheers guys, good to know that the glass theory is a myth a guess a little more of my faith In humanity can be restored now. Any ideas on how to target PM or any other things to look out for in my smoke? Thanks again and don't forget to stay high bongsmilie

Idk, but pm is treatable on a freshly harvested plant, as long as the outbreak isn't too bad.
I know it sounds crazy, but if you want the best tasting cleanest harvest, with even drying, and supposedly denser fully dry material
WASH YOUR FRESHLY CUT BUDS.

If PM, first do

But always do what this link explains.

As long as you are diligent in mold prevention, this will be beneficial. Trich Loss is minimal to nonexistent. Just check the macro on the thread. All that is required is time, lemon juice, baking soda, h202, h20, a fan, drying setup, and a few appropriately sized containers. Used this method myself and noticed a small film of dust and a small amount of dog hair in the water, with no mold problems afterward and it wound up drying in the same time if not less than expected. So worth it IMO.

The original methods a little more complicated, and requires RO water etc.
A copy of the original method is posted somewhere on http://boards.cannabis.com/advanced-techniques/208557-bud-washing.html.

Water cure or extract would be what I'd do. I'm currently smoking some very fine Space Queen oil that became oil because of a PM run in LOL

Wash it in H202 and cold water...rinse well. If it's an oily sheen it's PM...if it fizzes it's bud mold ( you should not smoke this )
Just spread out on plates or something in front of a fan to dry it again as quickly as possible.
Washing also works on harsh tasting weed.
Better then taking chances.
Personally I would toss it.

And yes you can wash dried weed...as long as you dry it fast enough.

I once grew a really bad hermy, that when you broke open the bud, male pollen would come out of the buds. Kinda sounds like that.
