Just built my double stack vegg tote was wounded the ideal timer setting 30 sec on 5 mins off , 1min on 5 off , the plants are in rapid rooter plugs if that makes a difference thanx

I'd start with the 1 min, and if it is soaked you can always go down. As long as they are getting enough to be moist.... just think wet paper towel.

Well even at 30sec on 6 mins off the rapid rooters are still soaked should I bump up the off time to say 10 mins???

Is it true aero? I run sprayers now and have found I get better growth with the pump on 24/7 but I have to watch temps when its warm out. The pump adds 2-3 degrees. I started out only running them every 3 hrs until roots came out of pots, girls were in rockwool. The plants that were rooted in the hydroton alone were on 15 off 15 to start until roots appeared. Then 24/7 for the most part.

Not sure what ya mean by tru areo this is my first time doing this I'm just wondering if these being in rapid rooter plugs are going to cause stem rot or something because the plug is stay soaked at all times .. Il

I stopped using rock wool and peat pods for the same reason, they were soaking wet all the time. Now I germ in paper towel (always have) and put the seedling in hydroton directly. I didnt get root rot but the girls had a rough time until roots were established. Leaves were discolored, slow growth. True Aero I believe (bit of a newb) is high pressure misting and is a bit different when it comes to timing. I have read a few articles (not pot related) that promote continuos spraying when employing low pressure. As I said earlier the seedlings, when in starter plugs/cubes did better when I lengthened the timing to 3 hrs. I am kind of winging it myself as I just started using sprayers. Another thing I dealt with was the need for higher nute levels right from the start. The plants are doing great now btw.

I'm sure that will be fine! My timers are in 15 min sections. I was about to build a true aero system but its alot of shit to setup. Decided to just go with low pressure sprayers. You lose the benefits of micro droplets but less worry, less plumbing, less money lol. Good luck, keep us posted! Have you had any sprayers plug yet? I had to change mine at the start but been running for 4 weeks and no issues yet. I bought enough to change them out at end of each run so I can soak them in vinegar .

Just actually looked at you pics, nice! Pretty much the same as mine. I used a 3" shower drain ass. And sealed the hole from the top tray into the bottom res. my upper tray is shollower as well and only 6-7" high. She's gonna get pretty bushy in there lol. I have 6 in each and its filled out to the max. After 4.5 weeks they are a complete carpet of green with the plants all crowding each other, think I'll leave a couple out next time and only running 4, using the clones from the best of these.

Just got a CO2 controller as well! Not sure if I'll get it in in time for this run though. Next planting is jean guy!

I we'll see about co2 once I get some of my investment back but hopefully with 4 week clone 4 week vegg 8-9 week flower if I can keep rotation going I'm hoping to get a pound evey 4 weeks with 5 plants per two rails around 1-1/2 to 2 ounce per plant

Lost all hope of making money after the first year using an 8*8 room lol. Thats what the outdoors are for lol. Now its a hobby of sorts and I like to build controls and systems. I've got rails, pails, tubs, and trays lol. My very first hydro grow yielded 410 grams from 6 White Russian with not a clue what I was doing, so I never looked back.

For me in low pressure aeroponics, I found 1min on and 1min off produced the best looking roots, fine hairs, however this caused early pump failure, (I think due to cycling). Now I did a run in a rail system where I ran 24/7 with great results.

Yup they like 24/7 it seems. The hp aero is the one that seems to have short quick cycles. Low pressure in my system likes cont. spray.
