can bud rot spreading on drying rack?

Here are my thoughts.
the temps and humidity may not allow it to grow on the rack.
My best guess is air movement will spread it all over the rack.
if it hits a favorable growing environment it should still grow.
meaning if you ingest it via the weed I see no reason it wouldn't grow in you.

Not science just my opinion.
What to do????

That is up to you

Yes it can absolutely grow on racked buds.

One time I wet trimmed some plants and one of the top buds was a little bleached out looking from being close to the lights,I didnt see any rot though but when I looked the next day some fuzzy gray mold had grown on it and spread to some surrounding buds. I threw all the tainted ones out and spread out the buds better.

So yes it can spread especially if the buds arent spread out enough. But yeah that shit is nasty, you should throw away any of them that have any rot.

boritrytis (not sure of the spelling) is MOLD, a living organism that can thrive in many extremes. Conditions do not have to be favorable for it to spread. GET THAT SHIT OUT OF THERE AND FAR FROM THE REST OF YOUR CROP!

it will grow as long as there is moisture after it dries then it dies but then you have mold spores just waiting for moisture to return and then more mold.get rid of it.

remove them dry them seperatly if you want but seperate them now so you dont spread mold spores to other buds that will then mold during cure.
