I'm glad you asked this Q. I'm a newcomer looking seriously at a bubble bucket system for my 1st grow and this is one of the doubts I've had too. I was even wondering whether It might be a better idea to transplant seedlings into a smaller, intermediate DWC system while the roots grew out enough to then move the plants into the buckets. I'm drawn to growing some big-ass plants in buckets, but I'm a bit wary as a newcomer, as it seems like there's so much to get right for it to work out well.I've read people saying top feeders are good until the roots hit the water... But how often should I have my top feeders on for I'm using rock wool in clay balls... HELP
I'm way off topic regarding the OP's question but I did try using rockwool with the seeds and I killed as many as I got started. I don't like seeds directly in DWC with rockwool. Gets very soggy.I'm glad you asked this Q. I'm a newcomer looking seriously at a bubble bucket system for my 1st grow and this is one of the doubts I've had too. Have you already bought/built your system?
^^^ Thisjust raise the water level in the bucket until the bubbles are splashing where the roots should be.
