Ok i have ordered a shitload of stuff.. 600 watt hps, 120x120x200 tent, fan, temperature controller, huge carbon fiber! and water / air pumps and all that shit! Now i wan to make a 12 plant setup in my new flowering tent! I want to use EBB FLOW method also called flood and drain!!

So this is what it looks from the side! 55L water container and 80L plant containers! The plant containers are going to be filled with pellets so i think the 55L water tank is enough ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is from above! i want to take the container and split it to 6 that makes it about 13 liters in each compartment and should be enough for a flowering plant! Ofq i will have a overflow drain and the water will be able to move around at the bottom of the "splitters" i will drill holes so water can run freely around and make 2 overdrains per of these boxes!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the boxes im going to use to split up in 6 compartments!

My Questions:
I am going to use 2 water pumps filling the two containers on diffrent times. Will one get less nutrients than the other?

I have a 600W lamp with temperature regulator and air hood cooled reflector (those with cooltube + ekstra glass) and a 240/m3 fan! Will it be enough?

Is this a good flowering EBB FLOOD system? OR should i make it with pipes like this

I can use these, make them long enough, drill hole, make both sides water proof, net pots with pellets on top and flood them up and drain them! What would be better? im sure you have seen setupts with these beforeand know what i mean!

Option 1 is cheaper
option 2 its harder to get those around here where i live :p but if it a lot better ill do it

Thanks in advance! My first flowering hydro room so cant wait to try it out!

would it b easier to not split the box into compartments and use 6 grow bags/smart pots in each container nutrients would flow thru plant sites and fabric will also act as a filter to keep the res water clean of debris. looks good

if your motivation is to make life more simple, there are less stressful designs. If your motivation is more bud for your 120 x 120 space, more plants definitely does not mean more bud. More plants less room( foliar and root) which means less veg time, however you will note with experience productive practices usually are the practices that are most simple in design and maintenance.

Just opinion, to answer your first question about nutrients, since your're getting your fertilizer from the same rez at different times, the nutes will be different. More nutes or less is a question that could be answered with a bunch of experience, if the strains were known, what part of life cycle, light regimen, light distance, exhaust, co2 cycle, what your humidity is, how much air flow you have, and how much your plants are getting moved by the air. If one plant is retaining a bunch of fertilizer, the next to get pumped will have less if you're recycling.
Your question about which one is better is much more complicated. What do you want? If you want quantity or quality or some mix of the two the you can design it for that. If you want easy maintenance, then you'd engineer it that way. If you want to make it so you can change it around a bunch to do some experiments, then you'd design it scalable or reproduceable. Just opinion.
Have fun.

80L is about 20 gallons, so if you divide into 6 compartments, you have 3 gals per compartment. I might consider splitting into 4 compartments, for about 5 gals per plant

What if i take those pvc's and make something like a oldschool nokia snake setup? Just wire them all together, put in holes and those pots i dont remember the name! i can make a E out of it. If you look at the construcion like a E.

Only 4 plants? Thats 20 Liters space for each plant? Isnt 13L space for a plant enough? And if i am going to scrog it is it gonna fill with 8 plants in a 120x120 tent?

I was thinking about the idea on smartpots! put 10l smartpots in the plant containers! this may just be the easiest solution cause then i can move it also! but how big smart pots do it need and how many? Here is a pretty nice link to demonstrate what i mean

This can be a nice solution but look at my plant containers on top of this post, can i fit 6 plants in each ? they are 80 liters! I Really want 6 in each!!!

Thanks for the great response guys

And will the second plant container have less nutrients than the other? since its being filled with water 5 mins after the first one ?

ok..... If you must try, I understand bro. Your plant containers would be 80l. You want to use 2 (160l capacity) your nute tank will be 55l. Having run similar setups, using 2,4,5,6,9,12,16,plants. I can tell you without speculation 12 plants in full flower could not be grown under a 120 net ( high numbers renders the net useless). 4 plants will drink your 55l within the week. I believe you will have a headache if you use the plant numbers and equipment you have chosen. The flood and drain system is a good method. If you must use the plant numbers you're planning, remember as well as having water to drink there must also be enough to recirculate for at least the week, else you would create a system that needs more water changes, more defol, less foot space per plant and all the complications that come with it.....

ok so how many plants would you recommend for max yield ? in a 120x120?

Thats really what im in it for im going to smoke some but im making for my friends now im really into the growing thing! Spent like 900 dollars on equipment regulator, 2x 120x120 tents and everthing!

Thanks for the support and answers i will make another thread where i show my carbon fiber i wonder how much u think it can take :) Its huge but i dont really know how much it takes :D

I'm assuming you've grown (in a 120 x 120) as you have picked a slightly mixed variable method to attempt. I could say I found 5 plants fill the space nicely in a short enough time span and with room for an average of 4 oz a plant. However if netting a greater amount is achievable, especially if you lay the tent on its side and net. if you boarded over you could stack tents. Again you could but......

read my post back i sound like a dick. Basically ive gone from one system to another with my own mission to max out each space. The most important lesson is to pick a system and work with it untill you know it. Minor tweeks each cycle is the best way to notice benefits. When you know your strain youll know how many plants (for the space and timeframe) you require to max out brother.
