No Stretch?

Simplest

New Member
Hey guys,

Is it possible for a plant to flower without stretching? Because I believe this is the case with a little lady Mary.

Cheers

Are you talking either vertically or horizontally or both?

Anything is possible but I believe it to be normal for either sativa or indica to double in size from the end of vegetation in comparison to the end of flowering.

Do you have more info or pic's?
I'm curious to see/know how your grow is setup.
People always talk about stretch and how far the lighting is from the plants.
But I've also read that the day to night temperature is another thing that effects stretch.
To avoid stretch you want the day/night tempts to be close to the same.

I assume both of you guys using either LED's or CFL's and not dealing with HID heat your day/night temp's are probably closer to the same compared to HID.
Could I please have more info. I would love to know your temp's both day and night.

Using CFL's. About 2" from plant.
That would be why. I have no experience with any other lighting other than LED but I do know that when using non-traditional lighting for indoor growing, that growth and vigor are usually in question. I get that people, many people, use CFL and T5's but most that do, and who get successful outcomes, are only using those mentioned lights as a supplemental addition to more accustomed lighting fixtures, i.e. HPS or HID or even Plasma.

Depends on what time of the year and setting. LED's do put off heat through fans but it's nothing that you have to stress about.

I believe it has to do with the heat and the relation of distance of the light to the plant. LEDs you can have 12" away, I've never grown HID/HPS so I don't know, but I do know that the bulb is generally further away

Prob around the upper 70's, 78 or 79 usually and low 70's for night, can't really check the temp in the dark

I use a BML Spyder 600W for my overhead and a Blackstar 500W as side lighting. I have a Critical Kush, Nebula and Delahaze going at the moment
Nice setup. LOL your using the BS for side lighting. It must be one of the original BSs (V1). Are you running a journal on here for those girls your mentioned?

I got a little temperature device that runs on battery, I probably spent no more than $20 for it, that records the temperature highs and lows and can convert it all to celsius or fahrenheit. You gotta get yourself one of those if you got the extra $ to burn :fire:

Shit, I'll post some pics about 2 or 3 days prior to harvest, they're about 6 or 7 weeks into flower depending on if you start at the flip or white hair but I just pull them when they're ready, fuck that breeder shit. I honestly just don't have the time at the moment due to my job. Don't want to piss a bunch people off with a half ass journal lol although my critical kush is a twin, that bitch sprouted 2 heads, fuckin monster
