Hi Nate! Your plant looks really fine and happy, but keep in mind that Autos strains usually doesn't need a lot of nutrients, even more when grown under fluorescent lights (as the plant's metabolism is linked to the light intensity ;-)) , so it's better to be careful about a possible over fertilization ;)
However I'll stay close to your garden to follow how this young lady will bloom :weed:

to have a successful grow do your research and develop some sort of plan before you plant anything. first, never use miracle grow for anything, second never add ferts until your plant calls for it. second read everything you can and keep reading. ask questions but try to figure it out yourself first so you're not asking questions that have been answered a million times already.

I've done read so much my head hurts and everything one person says contradicts what another said so I'm going with trial and error I'll figure it out along the way

okay, remember just ez on the ferts, use better soil. use 5 gallon buckets if you can. with auto's start in those buckets, don't trans-plant them Use FFOF and Happy frog mixed 1:1 ratio if you can't make your own. try to stay organic all the way. water lightly, use good lighting, always have a fan blowing oscillating l-r. look forward to seeing your grow posted.

Hey All,

Could someone please explain the reason why Miracle Gro soilless media is so hated? I've used every soilless mixture on the market and have found little difference between them all and have had great success utilizing these products. I do agree that slow release nutrients are not needed and harmful to young plants. As long as you understand that these nutrients already exist in the mixture, then feed accordingly. Even Mandala Seeds recommends Miracle Gro. Here's a Northern Light Automatic I grew in Shultz Premium Potting Soil, a carbon copy of Miracle Gro Premium mix. I use these products just because everyone says you can't!

we don't use MG anything, as we like or try to stay as close to 100% organic as possible. MG is all chemical based. we like our weed to be sweet and clean.

Hey Shannonball,

I could not agree with you more! However, sometimes these "really great" product's are not available to some us here at R.I.U. so we improvise with what material's we can source out. I just find it a little disheartening when some of us (me included) advise someone its not O.K. to use either a soil, a nutrient or lighting because, to us, it's sub-standard. We should be encouraging these peer's who sometime's are on a budget or cannot source out the "good stuff". Again, organic is the way to go. I sometime's go out of my way to use something that might be difficult or not rcommended for use, and I have failled in the past with certain products, but I shrug it off and offer my findings to other's here. I love experimentation and only have one plant at a time, I have never yet, in the past many year's even grown the same strain twice.

I guess what I'm getting at is "when in a pinch or on a budget do what you can to make it work". Miracle Gro can be utilized as an alternative grow medium, but there is way better quality choice's out there for sure. Let's just say if Walmart was to carry marijuana seed's, I probably would not purchase bean's from them, I would buy them from an expert breeder as I do now.

Peace and good luck,

Sherman420
