WP_20141019_17_18_35_Pro[1].jpgThis is the tent with the HID I am going to hang it in, I have a little bit of space above the tent, enough to run some duct. I have a new 440cfm fan to cool the light but a little concerned how to work it out with such a limited space inside the tent, just looking for some ideas on how to cool the light and where to put the inline fan outside the tent.

600w hid in the tent for light, and I am planning on using the tent as a veg room, so not rel worries about a carbon filter but I have one on standby. and. Use my 5x6 room for flowering, it has a thousand Watt hid in it. Perpetual is the plan

Looks like an attic or a shed. Attic would be better depending where you live you could vent outside and hide it with a vent cover. no one can get close enough to see whats on the other side. and as long as you have a semi "S" in your tube. They wont see any light either.

I use outside air for mine. Vent In Vent Out.

I think that's going to get pretty hot. Is that an attic?
no in a outdoor buiding. It's cooling off alot here wher I live so I think I can get away with just a temp controlled booster fan to blow air in when if heat is an issue, but I plan on cooling the 600w in the tent with a dedicated 440cfm fan.

being I have a fully functional 5x6 room with a 440cfm fan running through the 1000hid. I keep thinking I could vent them both with one off th 440 cfm's and use the other 440 to scrub the air in my flower room. Is this worth doing? Or is there a better way? Oh being the coom seasonal weather in thinking a small thermo controlled booster fan could provide cool air when needed. Please if tete is a better way let me know

I'm in the same boat man. Your temps will be fine with that fan, pull the cold air from out side through your cool tube and out of the tent you will be fine.
I'm running a 4x4 with a 1000 watt in a cool tube and a 2x4 with a 250 open hood. I'm trying to figure a way to run both off of my 6 inch vortex. I'm about 73 degrees lights out at day time and 82 lights on in the smaller tent. Just too many bends and turns in the ducting between the 2 of them for it to really work like I had wanted.

Yeah the more bends lessens air flow and a larger fan would be needed for the same amount of air. Forgot what the % in loss is per bend but i know each one loses air flow.

Yup I'm pulling like this, >2x4x5>>>4x4x8>filter>hood>>>fan>window. So my flower tent gets the most effect with way too much negative pressure. Both tents have fresh cool intake air. I just don't think I can make both work effectively with one 6 inch fan, I think I'm going to need another 6 inch for the 2x4 veg tent.

This what I am thinking for cooling the lights:perpetual-fanplan.png
and in the flower room I will add an additional 440cfm fan with a carbon filter to control odors.
Will this cool my lights sufficiently? I feel like it will, but is there a better way?

I think it would be better to have the 1000 at the end, and the 600 the first to cool. It's probably the same either way,[/QU
You maybe right, but when it's all said and done I will probably hook them up separate, both hoods with their own fan. I'm looking into some kind of fan control that is temperature controlled for the veg tent. In hopes it will help regulate temperature in the tent. I was going to throw a space heater of some kind in the tent for any needed heat, but a space heater in that tent scares me.
I know titan makes something like I am looking for, I think, but does anyone have any ideas on using your fan/hood to regulate heat in a room/tent?

You can add one of those y adapters up to the exhausted and run it back to the veg room. I think if you start recirculating your exhaust the heat will start building up to whatever that 1000 is kicking off over time.
