The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

Hey Everyone,

So I had this bucket of material and I was thinking of doing a bubble run on it. I had a quick question though, the powdery material on the bottom bucket, should I add it as well to the bucket when I do my run? Or is it too broken up into powder that it will drop the quality from contaimenting each bag? Im sure there are a lot of trich heads in the powder too though..

Hey frenchy I've been on the search for your cannolis ever since I tried the 2012 chocolate pinot noir. I also got to meet you at last years emerald cup, where you let me sample the cheese quake, which i could not believe how tasty it actually was. I live in the bay area and seem to miss out every time Sparc or cbcb gets some in. My friend just came to visit from Missouri and was looking through menus of places in the area for good herb, he says "what is frenchy hash?". I loose it as he shows me a menu full of your products in San Fran at 70 on 2nd street. We drive from the east bay to SF hoping they still have the pinot, no such luck however they did have green crack, og kush, blackberry kush, and berry white. So i got the og kush and berry white. What amazing hashish, my friend was in shock coming from middle of the US he has never seen hash of this quality. I'm just happy he found it, we have been enjoying them so much. The berry white's flavor and high are incredible, so sweet and perfect for after work. The og kush has almost a spiciness to it and the high a little more mellow. I am going to go back tomorrow and get some of the green crack. I talked to the lady at 70 on 2nd and she said she didn't think you guys were growing pinot this year, any truth to that? I hope she is mistaken. Anyways just wanted to say thank you for the incredible medicine. I will see you again at this years emerald cup hopefully, and I will introduce myself as trasher! Last year you asked me what my rollit up name was and i could not remember XD

Also any new items coming to the bay area soon?

much respect.

Do you also make solvent extractions? If so, you could save the powdery material for that, and rest assured that you will not contaminate your hash , and still use all the trichomes up. If you only do solventless, I can't blame you.

I have a "bubblebox" which is very good at cleaning that chaff stuff. 3 screens, and you clean 99% for sure in the first screen, and with patience and technique will be left with some nice full melt heads on top of the lower screens, especially the 70 micron bottom screen. This box works incredibly well for static kief / "turkey pan brushings" as well. The pure heads boil like oil on a clean pipe screen, and is IMO the tastiest dope in the world.

So many options once you do all the hard work of growing the plant.

I have made green dry ice hash and it tasted as good as the best blonde hash I smoked in the 70s. A little plant material is still way less than what you get when smoking flowers.

Although I have smoked some flowers that tasted like hash (Thank you Farmer John) :)

That's kinda how I see it too, I've had hash and kef that doesn't bubble but damn it gets me ripped. Plus I use the e-torch vaporizer which really brings out the flavor and high. So I think with me vaporizing, the some green is ok. And like Mohican said, it's less plant the the flowers still.

But stableboy does have a good idea too lol. So many choices. Maybe I'll use dsw screens for that powder part.

You should do it separately, fill up your bucket with water, all the green material will float, scoop it then use the water in your machine.

Hey Trasher, there will be very little Pinot this year, it is a sad truth but for the best, Aficionado is back breeding the Pinot this year and we also will have a Pinot Blanc very soon.

Looks Damn sexy good job! What was your tech? 220 on top of the 160? How long did you sift it?
I used bubble bags. Wrapped one bag around a bowl. The 220 first. Rub the trim gently by hand for 30 seconds. Then tapped the screen a few times. Collected the resin. Then wrapped the 160 bag around a bowl. And did the card method. For 10-15 seconds. That was it.

This is a version of my favorite Afghani technic. Simple and super effective

I just tried the method hyroot tried (slightly different), I took a little bucket/bowl and put my 160 bag and then put my 190 bag on top, I would take about a handful of material, shake it left and right for about 20-30 seconds, remove the material and then add more. Once I was done, I remove the 190 bag and then lightly shook the 160 bag left and right for about 15-20 seconds, and the collected the material under it. It's pretty incredible how you can see the color difference between the two! I really do wish i used the 120 bag as well just to compare to the 160! Hope to press it tomorrow at work, I did a partial press and colored changed nicely!. I wonder if I used the other bags (the 120, 90, 73,45) will it just get cleaner and cleaner? Pretty nifty trick.

Remember that by using many bags you cut the terpenes and cannabinoids spectrum into parts that cannot be as good as the whole.
Cleanliness is good but only to a point

Pics of it as pressed as I could get, I think it had to much leaf material perhaps to press better. Still happy with smell and taste. This is everything under the 160 bag dry sifted. Came out to a 4.5g which is cool with me.
