"The stretch"

So my first grow goin on and I'm learning a lot. Made a few mistakes which I knew I would. Hopefully I'll learn from them. Right now I'm almost 7 weeks from seed. About 2 weeks into 12/12. Thing is I think I'm running out of room height wise. I already ran out of room the other way due to the way they bushed out from all the topping and LSTing. So I'm wondering when they will stop stretching. Nothing has started to bud yet. (Except for the one auto but that's been on its way). I'm starting to worry a bit about getting to close to the lights. When they bud do they still stretch or is it just the initial stretch period after the switch??

So like I said I knew I would make some mistakes my first go round and I'm ok with that. How else ya gonna learn. I was concerned about the height these girls were gettin so I went and tied all the tops down a bit AGAIN. So now I had to turn on my second 1000 watt light which I was trying to avoid. Since now there all spread out so much. Temps went from round 78 to 85ish. And while moving them around while all tied up I managed to break two branches. So some unintentional super cropping goin on. So now I have realized a few things. I will be redoing my set up in the flower room. Will not be vegging for 5 weeks anymore. In fact I think I might be trying a sea of green next go after 2 weeks veg. Gotta say it's been fun though. Can't wait to see the budding start.

worst case you can always tie the tall ones and bend them over gently and tie it off
Yeah that's basically what I've done. All the top have been tied down now. Which was a lot since I've topped numerous times and done lst since the start. Sure it'll all work out.

Have the same problem, runnin out of verticle height, i just took the tallest shoots and wiggled them till they were flimsy enough to just fall over (supercropping) and now everything is copacetic
