Users with multiple accounts

It seems that some users think it's cute to create multiple accounts and post nasty things. For the sake of sanity I think it would be useful if Rollitup implemented a system that publicly associates these accounts based on IP address and logins. It wouldn't be a perfect method, but would catch a good majority of idiots and would be very easy to do.

hi yes we are able to see members multiple accounts, with so many members sometimes people who make new accounts arent always caught !
but we try our best, other users try to be a bit more crafty and change their IP so its a bit harder to detect that

Thanks for the reply. I do realize that there are various ways to mask your real IP when connecting to a web service such as Rollitup. Does rollitup ban these extra accounts when discovered? I'm just curious. I'm not trying to limit anyone's ability to create a new account, I'm just asking for some transparency.

I was hoping for a new feature that would publicize the association between these multiple accounts in some way through the clickable profile pop-up (not the full profile page since that can be made private).

it all depends
some people make two accounts and dont know we dont allow multiple accounts so a mod generally contacts them and asks which account they would like to keep and the other is banned but the user is aware

if its someone who got banned and make multiple accounts coming back on than we just ban those

if its someone who is a well known user who makes multiple accounts to troll the website with we ban the other accounts and send a warning to the main user account

we see a public association but users cannot
