Where movie?
Want movie NAO!!!
Want see bud grow...

impressed
by that frost,
especially!
Still about a month to go. Looks pretty cool so far. There's already like 20 gigs of video. Using 1 sec intervals, so it shouldn't be all jerky and spazzed out like the first one. I want to order a new external drive so I can take longer shots without wasting hard disk space.

Thanks, man. They're starting to stink, too.
There's a really fruity pheno in there that should cure out nice.

So, you'll be doing another vid at ~harvest time? Damn...I guess we'll have to wait.

One second intervals? Are you taking pics every second? Or is that the frame rate?

Lol, yep, pics every second.
 TOO MUCH!!!
Think about it for a second. The eye is boggled by anything over 30Hz (that's generous). So you don't need more than 30 frames per second of video.
If you're capturing a pic every second, that's 60 pics a minute, no?
3600 pics an hour.
Do you think anyone will see the difference between frame 1 and 3600 when you process them?
I'm thinking a pic every 30 minutes, which will give 48 pics/day, should be good enough.
That way, 12 hours of growth would go by (in one second) and the eye wouldn't even notice the lapse.
I guess it all depends on how fast you want the sequence to be, in the end.
8 weeks in 5 minutes?
300 s * 30 fps = 9000 frames
8 wks * 7 dy/wk*24 hr/dy*3600 s/hr = 4838400 s
4838400 s / 9000 frames = 5376 s/frame

~1.49 hrs between pics required.
Have you looked at any of the pics you've captured, thus far on the 20GB ?
Maybe make a test video with what you have to make sure you're not just wasting quarks on needless data? If you need to sequence it faster than 30fps (because its like watching grass grow on molasses in February) then you know you're taking more pics than necessary.
Unless your goal is to turn it into a Russian Epic...
Like Tarkovsky's Stalker or Solaris

Damn. You're totally right. And, you've got the maths to prove it. If it's impossible for the human eye to tell the difference between 15fps and 30, then anything over that is totally a waste of space. That's good lookin' out.

Wait, what?
Not 15fps... keep it above 24fps.
30 fps will be fast enough that even people tripping on LSD won't see the flicker. This video will explain all:

Awesome time lapse Pin, I've always wanted to do that! This run looks extremely promising. Most excellent work!

That's a nice, simple sounding mix too. I also like to use the Espoma Tones to spice up my mixes. Which one do you favor?

I understand the Tomato Tone is discontinued, so I scored a couple big bags this fall to put on the shelf for soil mixes. I'm a big fan of the Dr. Earth 745 Bud and Bloom too.

I'm here to see this finish up, I'm very excited for you my friend.

So, here's how that Ed turned out after a decent cure. She's really the only one out the group that finished out nicely, all the others had to get the chop early. More shots to follow soon. Working on getting another full "from veg through flower" video together, too. Finally got everything set back up after the move. Veg cab is getting full again. Thought I owed you guys a quick look at something.
