Pettition to fire the head of DEA

The DEA has gone rogue. First, an agent describes marijuana regulation in Washington and Colorado as “reckless and irresponsible,” contrary to the president’s assertion that it’s “important for it to go forward.” Now, DEA administrator Michele Leonhart has criticized President Obama for, accurately, saying marijuana is no more harmful than alcohol to the consumer. In fact, the science says marijuana is dramatically safer than alcohol, for both the consumer and society.

It is unacceptable for our nation’s top drug cop to not understand the relative risks of America’s two most popular recreational drugs. That’s why we have started a Change.org petition calling on President Obama to fire Michele Leonhart and replace her with someone who will base decisions on science and evidence instead of politics and ideology.

This is the same person who once refused to answer the relatively simple question of whether marijuana is less harmful than heroin or crack cocaine. Her repeated refusal to recognize clear scientific evidence undermines the president’s mandate that “science and the scientific process guide decisions of [his] Administration.” She’s got to go.

While this bitch clearly has her head up her ass, Obama's is equally far up his own. That man would tell people he strangles babies if it would help him in his non-stop political campaign. I get angry when he makes statements like these to make friends and then absolutely shits on those people he befriended(he is by far the most detrimental president to MMJ since its inception).

I sent it and told her to tell Obama to protect marijuana because it is a plant. Stupid people want to exterminate all plant and animal life on the planet. Do something about birth control, pollution, and energy sustainability if she values OUR childrens' future. Thanks for posting and standing up for something.

I agree that the American State of the Union is not even close to democracy but unless we do something people will never wake up. My theory is that after corporations took over news media (and became "persons" according to the USSC) they rewrote every idea and story that is broadcast to Americans. The result it a country in total ignorance willing to march off to war at the drop of a hat and destroy the planet and allow the planet to be destroyed. On the way to extinction the government wants to jail as many people as they can who threaten our religious neighbors. Screw religion. The planet needs help like yesterday and everyone is sleeping. I include myself.

What gets me is these know-it-all people who think they are somehow above the people that got busted and are serving ridiculous sentences. Goes to show the more you think you know people the less you REALLY know. I don't trust anyone on this site either - how many are DEA agents? It takes a real asshole to sit in judgement on other people who the law put in prison for dealing marijuana. I have no need for people like that and hope they get a taste of the justice system and find out how unjust it really is. Canadians too.
