reserve the blue one with the stripper pole prior to the next flood!

are floods a real concern? or, are you mostly thinking about certain geographies that are prone to such? those alternative structures, to park your pod, are very cool. wld like to figure out how they imbed those flatter bottles into walls for the stain glass effect.

you're right by the way, I was high. the flying machine I paid 44,420.00$ turned out to be a boat afterall. still, ima gonna market it for re-sale on craig's list as an original mad max flying machine.

the pods are for up stream or coasts flood prone areas. the bottles either fit end to end or get glass cutters
put them end to end and lay the earth bags or rolls over the top a little cement will secure it in place

Dude those are new pics for me thanks Mr.durden!! can you give me a link, or share more info? I don't mean about hobbits
those are the sets built for the lord of the rings movies, in new zealand.

sod houses arent new though, they have been used in many parts of the world, including scandinavia, the US, and parts of africa for centuries.

Tolkien took his inspiration from the homes of several african tribal groups who farm (sedentary) and thus could construct permanent dwellings.

in cold or hot climates they work good at regulating the temp.

A similar type of construction involves inflating a large balloon and then spraying it with a quick setting fiber impregnated concrete. Once it sets, the balloon is deflated and the space finished. Similar shapes, even faster build time.

Good idea. What I'm saying is pound a stake and attach a string. Walk out half of want you want your Moon Cocoon to be. stretch the rope out walk around to make a circle. That's your building footprint. You can make circles on the circle and create rooms as long as you don't form an ellipse. If you do then you will be building a support structure. To put this in a nut shell. Its bullet proof, tornado proof, earthquake proof, potentially flood proof. I do have a little boat and the plug is two feet away.
