question about northern lights autos

hi guys, im new to growing, and to auto flowers. i am just starting my first autoflower grow. i chose northern lights for my first cause i read its a good strain for beginers. my question is about the basic plant structure with no topping or fimming, or no lst. im guessing the plant has a main chola and a few side branches with smaller cholas. is this accurate? or do i need to do some thing to cause these side branches to come out? i know of ways to get more light to the different areas of the plant, as i have been experimenting with some photos. anny help is apreciated on describing how the northern lights looks un touched and natural. sorry if this is a stupid question. i just want to do it right.

it depends on the breeder

look at the place u ordered the seed from it should give u a outdoor and indoor yeild

120 grams and under u can use a 3 gallon soil bag anything above that say the 300 550 gram range u want a 7 gallon bag

as for the shape they take it all depends on the feed and everything most are x-mas tree shape

all auto's need is lst
just wait until it has 7 nodes or so and loop it at around the 5th node and pull it down to the edge of the pot over a couple days
then after the side branches reach tie them down to the edge of the pot
and then leave it alone ...... check string periodically to make sure your loop isnt growing into the stem
try to get all the lst done before flower starts ........ actual flower ..... not just preflower

well i have two of them. gonna prolly lst one and let the other one grow naturally. that is if it don't explode and take up too much space. if so, then ill def. be doin some tie down.

thanx guys. guess ill just play by ear. i def didnt think they would get big enuff for a seven gallon pot. and im sure i dont want anything that huge. but thanx.

rite on. they are six days old now. cant wait til like day 20 or so. they seem to be growing pretty fast. but i have a feeling that the roots are growing faster than the top right now. then later the top starts growing rapidly. pretty interesting plant. the cherry bomb auto has a unique appearance. and a different vibe. cant wait till the full fan leaves come out. they're gonna be beautiful plants all around.

N.L. Auto is a good strain. Mine is from Nirvana seeds. It grew about 28 inches tall and yielded about 60 grams dry. Best smell of any auto I've grown. Crazy fruity. Smoke is good also. Here's a pic

nice lookin plant man. my NL auto are from nirvana also. what size pot was that in? mine are a lil smaller than id like. when i pop my last bean, im gonna use at least three gallon container. i feel like the roots wanna go way down into tbe soil. prolly gonna transplant one NL and my cherry bomb. my cs spray will be a little late getting here. someone suggested either topping or stressing it somehow. to set it back a week, give my cs a chance to get here. then im gonna make "cherry northern lights" and also make fem nl and acb seeds.

I grew a BlimBurn Seeds - Northern Auto Fem this summer so I'll be happy to share my experience. I did no topping, LST'ing, nothing. I had her in a 7 gallon smart pot and she went from start to finish in about 10-11 weeks. Height was about 4 feet. Yield was about 1 1/2 quart jars...still have not weighed it as I'm doing a long cure. Very crystal'y. Trimming was pretty easy...fairly minimal. Bud appearance was odd...very few hairs. I can take some pictures for you of the curing buds if you like.

Growth was kind of typical...predominant top cola with some side branches...8 if I recall.
Edit: Seeds went into paper towels on June 3rd and harvested Aug 16th. Trichs were about 10% amber...I took her a little early intentionally.

well i didnt like the containers i stared my beans in. i know im not supposed to, but i transfered them to better containers. my NL are fine. but im not so sure about my cherry bomb. i know a couple of roots snapped. but im not even sure what her roit mas was like. ive seen a pic of an auto with a very small root ball on it. im hopin this was the case with cherry bomb. but idk. if she comes through there prolly be a small yield. wich is ok cause i do plan on putting her to seed using cs spray. got my fingers crossed for her. its the only auto cherry bomb i have, dont feel like i really wanna order again. but if this one dont make it, i will be forced to order more. so lesson learned.... never gonna do that again lol. i got impatient cause all my beans looked like crap when i got them, didnt think any were gonna pop. got impatient and germed a couple too many beans just to see if they would go. but i didnt have the right size containers. had one in a 44 oz. polar pop cup, the other in 32 oz. i was worried they didnt have enuff room, so it was a choice between the cups or a chance they would do better in bigger pots. not sure what the iutcome would have been in the cups, tiny plant maybe? either way they are all lookin good this morning. no signs of stress, not even on the cherry bomb. so maybe i get lucky. but i learned a lesson or two.

today is thier seventh day above the soil. spear leaves are just around an inch and a half, second set of leaves all have three fingers. babies are around two inches tall.i got em on 24 hrs of light right now, but prolly drop it to 18/6 when i get a timer. my old timer is being used on a photo that i have. just a tiny bush with like twelve tops. but yeah, better pots, better soil. hopin to see some accelerated growth now that the second leaves are getting bigger.
