PENNSYLVANIA!!! It CAN happen with John Hanger is elected!!!

John Hanger right now is going after Democrat candidate , then of course going after the Governor seat! His campaign is gaining steam. His "Marijuana Reform" plan is spearheading that steam. Im all for legalizing Marijuana, But dont vote for someone just because of that reason. There are more important issues to be addressed.

Oh I agree not to vote for a person just for one reason. I mean we are on RIU so I wasn't going to add everything he stands for. If you want to talk about his plans for education , or cleaner energy I can do that too. I agree with everything his campaign stands for. I also do research the candidate I vote for. Exactly why I didn't vote for obama. I definitely get your point to how it was written. But look where I am writing at.

I wasn't directing it @ you. I was putting it out there for the Youngins who don't really understand the importance of voting.

He does seem like he has some good ideas, But will he actually do them and what will he do that he hasn't said, Whats his stand on the 2nd Amendment? Will he raise taxes? Is he pro life or pro Choice? these are all necessary questions. Look at what oBUMa Promised, he lied out his ass during his campaign and has lied and deceived his whole term so far and it doesn't look as though he is going to change.

I got involved and started supporting John because I know his background. He worked in Philadelphia for years as legal aid lawyer. I have spoken personally with him. I know many people who have worked with him. Can I guarantee he will do everything he says in his campaign no. But what politician ever has , none. I believe he will follow through with most. Like I said , just my personal opinion. But I have spent time with him and heard him speak. Without a speech writer or piece of paper.

To answer the above questions. He believes it's the women's right to choose. As for the second amendment I will check on that , and will ask him personally. Taxes he will not raise taxes. He has a plan to stop wasting money on prosecuting non violent marijuana smokers. On top of getting rid of the under performing charter schools. Not to mention legalizing , regulating , and taxing marijuana.

wow about time cant wait i say 2 years maybe 3 the longest,

WE will have medical by end of this year, feel like recreational will take 3-5 more years here. They are going to pass the med bill and see how it goes while keeping an eye on Co and Wash before trying for full rec

Nothing is definate when dealing with politicians. The bill will pass senate this week by a huge margin. It will then move to the house. There it has enough support to pass but is opposed by one of two house leaders. It should still get voted on in house by end of session in November. Then its off to Corbetts desk. He has said he will veto the bill cause he only wants cbd tincture legalized. But since 86% of voters favor the bill the popular opinion of political writers is he will not sign the bill but not veto it. This way law will go into effect but he can later say he didnt support it but was following will of the people.

Being a PA resident, I've been waiting for this news for many many years and am thrilled it looks like it's finally happening. The bill has been praised as being one of the finest of its kind and there is huge public support for it (85+%). Yes, it will all come down to our asshole republican governor, Tom Corbett who has stated in the past that medical marijuana will never become a reality as long as he is governor of Pennsylvania. Well, the good news is that he will not be governor after this November's gubernatorial election (assuming Wolf isn't caught sticking cigars in the crotch of a female aide or something similarly damaging), his approval rating and poll numbers are epically bad. Break out the champagne fellow PA natives, party at my house!

So, can anyone who's state has gone through this run me through how long it takes from this point? What goes on after Wolf gets elected? Can we expect it by next summer? Sooner?

This is a little harsh. Obama was given a country in ruins. He may be a bit disappointing, but I'm not sure I would say he is raping our country. Saying he was voted in due to his race is ridiculous, he is president because people were terrified (and rightfully so) of another Bush like administration under McCain or Romney.

You're right though, it has a lot to do with the fact he is a democrat. The republicans seem to be a dying breed and for good reason. I'm not saying that aren't a few decent ones out there, but they really need to get with the times.
