best way to get seeds into australia

Hi all. i'm new to the forums & i've been doing some research about getting weed seeds sent into Oz but its still not really clear what the safest way is. so here are the questions that i have:

1. Are there any legit seedbanks that ship WITHIN Australia
2. What sites have a good reputation for sending seeds to Australia & not being caught by customs.
3. What is the best way to get your seeds? is "super stealth" worth the trouble or is just a regular letter envelope do?

4. What will customs do if they catch the seeds? will my address be written down & further action be taken? i'm currently on a bridging visa until a decision is made for my permanent residency & i dont want a few seeds being caught in the mail screwing with my chances of staying here lol.

Thx so much for the help in advance =)

Hey mate and welcome to riu :)

In answer to your questions:
1. Southern Star are an Aussie based company that has a reseller, they ship doestically for Southern star beans only. Check out their website for details. Southernstarseeds.net

2. Herbies, Attitude, Demon seeds, Mr Nice, Seedsman. All have a good record on getting beans into Oz. If you live in QLD though, sadly the strike rate seems to be a lot lower. WA i hear is also hard to get them through but you can be lucky. I would opt for plain envelope and stealth for WA and QLD or just plain envelope for everywhere else :)
Ive had success with all the above banks too, numerous times!

Aww shit, was hoping you weren't from tassie. I know customs and AQIS go over incoming mail there more often too. I havent heard any experiences from people down there though sorry.
I'll be down there in a few weeks if ya want me to bring some down :)

Try Sannies, his stealth is so good if customs open the envelope they look at the seeds but they do not see them, sounds crazy, but that's what it is. LOL

Sannies doesnt ship to Oz! Have asked many times and Sannie refuses.

Try herbies first, his super stealth is pretty good :)

Hey BIT, I don't know if you have to have a certain amount of posts, but Conversations is your PM. You just click on a member's profile name or avitar and select "Start Conversation" or something to that effect. Best regards in getting some seeds.

Can you keep use posted on how things go BITW54?

I'm in Tas also, and ordered from Herbies last week. First time ordering, I'll keep you posted on how things go with me.

From my research, if you're ordering overseas then Herbies and Seedsman are the way to go at the moment as Attitude appear to have mixed feedback. Fingers crossed mine come through, as I got a few.

It's always that bit harder getting into tassie though due to AQIS on the border, they check pretty much everything for plant material and seeds come up bright red! If you do order, its best to go plain envelope untracked as they go through with normal mail :)
Herbies has good stealth though, they should arrive!!

Yeah hoping it all comes through okay, Herbies have a really good reputation, so fingers crossed. And they offer guaranteed delivery too.

Just an update - the seeds arrived today. Stunning speed from UK to Tassie from Herbies. Great stealth, overall I'm relieved, and quite honestly delighted with the proficiency from Herbies. They were able to:

1) Give a great selection of seeds on their website
2) Ship the order around the World to me in 6 business days (to put this in perspective, shipping something via regular post domestically often exceeds a week to get from the Mainland to Tassie)
3) Be extremely stealthy about it
4) Throw in an awesome selection on free seeds

Hoping this post will inspire some confidence in us Southerners to order from Herbies and not feel restricted to Australian-only websites.

Good shit mate, glad to hear they arrived safely! I must admit, herbies is definitely one of the best along with seedsman :)
