HPS hotter than MH?

I have been flowering 3 weeks with two 400w MH lamps; tonight I switched to HPS and it seems much hotter. I don't have a thermometer, but already at the top temp I want to be. I am trying to decide if I should just flower the entire run with MH, because if there is a temp difference between the lamps I might get better yield running MH.

From my experience the MH bulbs are hotter than hps.

Funny, I've seen the opposite effect.

HPS is WAY!!!! hotter than MH. I don't need A/C in my veg tent, but I sure as shit need one in my flower room. 15* hotter w/o ac in my flower room.

HPS runs hotter. I can keep a MH lamp much closer to my girls then an HPS

Your yield won't be bigger using a MH but you will see trich production more with the MH
