Hydroponics, plants don't smell much?

Yeah, I did top them. I actually fimmed them first, but I was't happy with the results, so I topped them then. How many colas, it's hard to say, there are still more reaching up through the netting. I cannot say yet, I am not expereienced enough to make such prediction. We will see, I'll keep posting :)
I know your setup very well. I've grown in a setup similar to yours for years. I've also grown in dirt, coco, soil, hydroton, rockwool,DWC, and a "real" aeroponics system. About the smell......Just as someone posted earlier, smell is mainly in the genetics!
Now, if you fuck up your grow, you can blame that! Lol

This leads to the ever controversial question. Which system, according to you, is the best? Or rather, which brought you the best results?

Well that one is easy.:-)
My homemade pre-NASA engineered(lol) aeroflo style tubes, That i designed and
Built about 23 yrs ago. No veg, just absolutely killed it for about a decade that way.
Too many plants for my setups these days though.

I am not very happy with my 2nd unit. I have different strains there, Northern Lighs and they werent feminized, as I got them as a bonus. Today I pulled out second male, out of 4. And they are so slow to flower, one of them still aint showing (they have to be autos or some), besides the NL are more sativied and are stretchy as fuck compared to the indicas. We will see how it goes, might be worth it in the end.
My 1st grow...Have one unknown strain that is 5 weeks old, 4 unknown seedlings, one cheesey smurf seedling an one aurora seedling. It's exciting!

Yep, sprayer wands inside.
Nice! Ok, Your setup would take 2nd place then! :D
Really though: all capable systems have their +'s and their -'s:-)
There is no "best" system out their.
I get bored doing the same thing over and over again. I like to switch shit(setups) up constantly, I'm weird like that!

sometimes your feeding solutions may cause this, what's in the res? If the nutrient mix is lacking in trace, or anything basically you plants will know..and then you and your patients will know lol

Little update:

I wish I could take better pics but the phone is not great. You should see them for real. They literally look frost bitten. The buds are just unsqueezable; they are like rocks! I am so happy right now :)

Northern Lights started budding really late, so far not impressed with this strain and the buds have no smell. But it's too early to be critical, must give them a chance.

I have a cheese growing, week 4 flower. And starting at week 2-2.5 of veg and I could start smelling it. And I vegged for 6-7 weeks. Now it stinks so skunky!!!

NL is, by design, low odour and short in stature for convenient indoor growing.
