I'll try to help you noobs out once again-the plant needs plenty of N until harvest.

I had rather hoped that the absurd reasoning given in the section you didn't quote would begin to indicate that I'm in agreement with you and just having a little laugh at the people getting ripped off buying silly cannabis specific products.
Sorry, went right over my pointy lil haid.

Grown w/ ONLY Flora Nova Bloom and super thrive from START to FINISH...never ph'd water..nothin..well water!! coco coir soil w/ a light View attachment 3243397 View attachment 3243398 dusting of EWC and bone meal and blood meal..photo takin Oct 2 last year in midwest
Blood meal (12-0-0)? Bone meal (3-15-0). Nutritional value of your soil? Nice plant, but those contradictions oh my! :)

Superthrive like most supplements is a waste of your money and time.

When you keep up the N in flower and keep the leaves green till the end does the plant takes longer to finish
No, and why should it? Uhhhhh, this is not sinking in with some. (Note to self, some need to be re-programmed). It's leaves that produce bud. If you produce a mass of leaves and keep them green and healthy (i.e. productive) then that's all you need.

Learn to read your plants.

And Uncle Buck trolls yet another thread into the ground.
I'm not very forum savvy but is it possible to troll your own thread? Also to continue on with what, before I went to bed, was what I thought was a pretty good discussion. So UB I just got done looking at the Jack's site, i do use a 20/20/20 product (plant prod) that is water soluble. The thing lacking is high sulpher which I believe is a key ingredient in Jacks line. IYO is sulpher a key to success? And yes nice plants btw, sorry to hear about mould, get that here as well due to rain and cool temps near the end.

Riddle seems to think that plenty of sulfur contributes to potency. He did admit when asked if he had verified his feelings with tests. Answer was 'no'. If you want to play with sulfur salts there's plenty available - sulfates of copper, iron, zine, magnesium, ammonium, potassium, calcium, etc.

Uncle Ben and Uncle Buck are 2 very, very different people. Uncle Buck is the forums resident troll.

No offence taken! And no sarcasm intended, more of a discussion point. Just being honest about my knowledge base. I have been growing for many years and following forums for a relatively short period. The practice of using high N for growth and high P for flower is not new. Basically what I was trying to ask is if the flower nutes are useless why are they out there? Is it just a marketing thing. My using both products has quite possibly hindered growth but I have never failed to bring in a harvest, just wonder why they are even out there is all. Its not like the bloom part of the mix sells for more. Is there no benefit at all to switching? Oh and I'm probably echoing a majority of personal growers that dont read volumes of botany books, i may be wrong! Fyi I have been adding a bit of nitrogen based nutes throughout since reading a few if yours and others threads.
Well, the truth is... regardless of what some hippy who has done way too much acid in his life may "seem" to think, Rosenthal uses no science at all. Everything is stoner mentality. Where as there are actual SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS that PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that higher N at the end of flower = LOWER THC levels. Proven with science, not some stoner saying "heh heh, dude, this seems like it is better, heh heh.

Rosenthal is an idiot, even his book has very very little coming from Rosenthal, just stupid little quips.

"you can tell a plant is ready because the buds glisten and have an aroma" - Rosenthal....

Oh, so my buds are ready around week 4?

I have to agree. I have little respect for Rosenthal and never sought his opinions. He looks and sounds like a typical doper in the video. Now Mel Frank...? He's about as good as it gets.

Having said that, you like many others didn't bother to READ, ya just did a "fire, ready, aim". He sited hundreds of studies in 4 links provided in the topic of Nutrients. "The following list of possible effects of nutrients on potency has been adapted from these four studies. (63,71,74,231)" - http://www.sky.org/data/grow/c19.html#2
