6 would be pretty slammed in their rite? 4 - 1/4lb plants should be your ultimate goal, IMO. Everything else sounds good. Looks like you got it planned out pretty well;-)

i have a 32x32 tent, the light is fine but 4x 5 gal buckets is going to be difficult. yes they will fit but 5 gal buckets are tall and the plants will stretch and outgrow the room. if you want my advice i would suggest if you insist on 5 gal buckets do a ScROG. if your willing to go with 3 gal pots i asure you they will be planty big enough and allow plenty of room for the plants to grow.

you only have about 5 ft of vertical space, your light will take up a good 8-10 in at the top and a 5 gal bucket is little over a ft tall. that only allows you around 3 feet of grow room and even though the light is air cooled you still want at least 2-3 inches (MINIMUM) of space between the plant and the glass of the light.

i found that 1 plant in a 30 gal tote, a ScROG screen and a little extra time in veg really works out good in my tent.

Hey Matt I am new to this site and I have been doing a lot of research up here and all over the net but there is still questions I would like direct answers to.... I know everyone has their opinions and ways but I don't mind listening to different ways and do what fits me. My question to you is I have a 55 x 55 x 79 tent with 1000 watts 6" inline fan with carbon filter.... In an optimal environment how many plants can I get in there to grow some big plants? Small plants are cool but I get excited when I see them nice size trees... This will be my first grow and just looking for all the knowledge possible. Thanks in advance

you can grow 1 plant in any space and fill your space up..the cool thing about Mj plants is they will continue to veg as long as you want them to and will grow to enourmous size as long as you allow the roots to have enough room...so there is no real answer to your question. personally im a 1 plant kinda person, i would rather grow one plant as big as i need than try and fit in as many as i can to shorten veg time.

Thanks a lot so if I was going to grow a few plants in that same 4x4 with the same hook hoe many plants would you advise? I'm growing for personal and close friends but we all smoke a bunch so I'm trying to figure out is one big planet better then having a few plants in there without hurting potency flavor and taste!!!

That all depends on personal opinion. Some have better results growing just one HUGE plant and vegging her for a long time. Others like to plant many many many plants and get small yields but it adds up. Me I like to do one plant, never have done more than one. I get to care for that one plant a lot and get to pay very close attition since she is the only one.

in a 4x4 i would say max 4 plants in 5 gal buckets if you want to grow them to any decent size. the only advantage in growing multiple plants in my opinion is you can grow different strains or select the best pheno from a batch of the same seeds. o dont use a mother plant so its more economical with the price of seeds to just grow one to a time. i enjoy ScROG when i can and 1 plant just works for me. like sp33 said its all a matter of personal opinion, if you only want to veg for 4 weeks then i would say go with 4x 5 gal buckets. if you dont mind vegging for 6-8 weeks 1 plant is all you need.

theres also the factor of having issues. if you have a problem with one plant it can be catastrophic or a casualty depending on how many you have. one dies and you have 3 left then its water under the bridge, one dies and its your only one you stuck starting over.

i guess theres pro's and con's to to each way..im pretty nuetral but when i started growing i was under the illusion that more plants = more yeild and thats simply incorrect, you can get a better yeild on growing only one and properly training it. my 2¢ im by far an expert though and still learning as i go. I actually am encountering a issue right now with my one plantt and will be asking the community about it shortly.

potency flavor and taste are not hindered by either way you decide, that is genetics. the only thing that you can really hinder is yeild by using shitty lights, youwill get airy light buds but they will still taste the same and be just as potent...thats my opinion anyways, genetics plays the role on flavor and potency. obviously if you under feed it and it fucking dies on you you will suffer some aftermath on potency and flavor.

people also say chem ferts affect flavor and theres a million different theories on the internet on the subject...i like to keep shit simple and not trouble my brain on trivial shit like that...

Thanks sp33dy I think for my first grow around I will go with one plant so I can just learn growing period!!! What are some good organic nutes you would recommend?

600 watts what type of light would you recommend? I hear hps and hm in flowering is a good way to go? What do you know about Cdm lights I read that has the best spectrum of lights for cannabis plants? It's so much I wanna ask but I have already bothered you fellas enough I really appreciate the info.

Oh one more question lol I hear fem seeds are prone to hermie on you so does that mean you shouldn't do any LST to them or topping to not stress the plant?

another widely debated subject, my 2¢ if its gonna hermie its gonna hermie...all Mj plants are prone to hermie since its a survival tactic for the species. imho fem seeds are no more likely to hermie than reg ones but im no plant biologist
