How cold is too cold?

How cold is too cold before your babies start to stunt or die? I was told to be careful when it starts getting into the mid to low 50's which it is now.... But last year in Cali mine were finishing in November in the low 40s just fine. (This only being at night)

Well i live in canada and i did a indoor garage grow.. It wasnt a heated garage, but i did run propane heaters in the day (lights out) and ran my lights durning the night (lights on) which was the colder parts whole day.

My temps were often around the 5*c/41*f. In my 4x4 tent/600w hps with 12 plants i pulled an average of 1.25oz. I felt this was pretty good for a first time grow. I think the most important part is to keep ths roots above freezing... If your clise I'd suggest a heat mat under the plants to heat the soil... Or around them if they are planted in the ground.

Ya everything I've read says it's bad in veg but can't find much on flower. Probably just gonna buy a couple propane heaters to play it safe

Too many strains lol so just trying to get a ruff idea. Really don't want the propane company to come out if they don't have to.

I live in the NE and been growing outside for 20+ years, plants will do fine in 30+ night temps as long as your day temps warm up to around 50+. There has been years I've had to shake off a dusting of snow. In fact rule of thumb for gorilla growers in this region is after the first big frost and before the second. Good Luck.
