^^ Neither have I, I can barely get my car started here very few things work outside around here. I probably could just leave it in the basement and heat the house in the winter but my issue now is during summer.

:O can you snag a pic/make a shitty diagram of the exhaust system? If we go the route of ductless, I think I want to do this to heat my condensers.

Also some units have quick connects on them so you mount everything put power to it slilde the lines in grove and they lock together and make a leak proof connection amd there already full of freon etc no need.for anyome ro come over or call a ac company. I have an ideal air mimi split have had for 5 years now amd the quick connect.leak but I also have to take my room apart hide ac or move whole room to this house or that house etc so.my.mini split has been connected disconnected prob 100 times and an o ring is leesed up but

I agree, cant go wrong. I have ideal air 36,000 btu. And works great. best of all no HVAC installer.

I run 3 mini splits. a 18k, 24k, and a 36k in different locations. I love them. They are tiny and nearly silent. You can put them right by the existing ac condenser and if anyone asks say you use it to cool just your bedroom rather than the whole house to save money. If security is a concern get the systems with Quick Connects. no HVAC pro needed. try http://www.aurasystemsonline.com/ or Mitsubishi

ya mini split is the way to go..ya it will have to be outside unless you do it in your garage..build a room in there and keep it on the outside of the room in the garage...if not try putting it somewhere in the backyard where its not visible, unless the rooms on the other side of the house...it is easy to install after you've seen it done..if you don't know shit about electricity I wouldn't try it ..but ya ur just connecting one from ur braker to the wall mounted part..then from the wal mounted to the unit outside..its not hard..but like I said If uve never worked with electricity or seen it done I wouldn't try it

^^That looks like a good setup I'm gonna save something like that for my next place I'm just finishing the outside of this one to sell and on to the next . but same problem I'll have to run the thing inside somehow. I suppose I would have it in the garage exhaust the heat in the summer heated garage in the winter. In the meantime I bought a 12000btu window ac and its cooling my room way better then I could have hopped and takes up no floor space . temps are steady at 74 but its loud and gives off a lot of heat but It will do for the next 2 months then its mini split ac

Mount the outside unit in his dog house
they require alot of ventilation i wanted to put a board on top to make it look like a table, HVAC guy said under no circumstance am i to put any thing over them it would mess with the air flow and if you look all mine are facing out so when my lights dump the air out to the middle of the units and then they push the air to the sides.

A dog house works leave the back off cut off etc with front normal opening for air to flow thrpugh put back of dog house and ac unit about a foot or a lil more from house and it will be just fine. Fan side at doggie door other side to the open. Has worked for me for years
