Are you using full strength silica now mate? Seems weird that it drops so quickly and especially after adding fresh water....you sure your pH meter is calibrated properly? Even with high pH water that you have, I doubt there would be such a strong chemical reaction goin on that can drop it that fast. A mate once told me that you can test pH as many times as you want and get different readings every time. If your girl is healthy, just check it every few days or of she starts to change

Yea I have been using it full strength. I write on here that I only used half but that was a mistake and after I realized I couldn't edit it. It is very weird Eastcoast I cant seem to grasp it either especially only being in its 3rd day of flush a fresh nutes. Just got done talking to a few people in the hydro forum and they're saying just like what I've been reading that its too much nutes in res and she's stored all the food she wants and that's why ppms is rising and pH dropping. I'm hoping this is right cus if its not then I don't know what the problem could be. My only solution would be that she's wanting more nutes than what I'm giving her. We shall see

Checked pH and ppms and its 5.9 and 530. Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow and check things after my Mrs leaves for work it will be around the same. Don't wanna wake up to pH under 5 or I'm gonna be doing a massive flush. Really not tripping as the Bubba has me smacked lol. Bubba sure is one hard rock bud producing plant. Those buds are really dense

Bubba looks good nice hint of purple i love that shit! i want a plant to go purple on me i remember years ago i got a bud of a mate the whole thing was purple was awesome! not the best smoke but it looked good

Yep i reckon they may be right too, maybe try a week of 3/4 strength nutes and test ppms every day. If its rising, add water, if its dropping add more nutes
Man that bubba looks delicious too, im hanging to get rid of these builders at my house so i can get my blue bubba going, that shit looks dank as!!

Yea it looks good and tastes and smokes even better That's the real deal. Man I've got some stuff before like that too!!! It was truly all purple no green whatsoever very pretty but no taste and no high. Was very disappointed I try to stay away from getting purple buds from other people cus it never has that punch but the Bubba is a different story. That's one I know for sure will get you ripped!!!

Yea I'm gonna back the ntues down to half strength see how that goes then maybe go back to 3/4 strength once I see that that's the problem. This is the exact reason why I only use half my res just in case I need to add more water. Few of the guys say use the whole res but that means a lil more nutes and personally I'd rather use half cus trying to pick up 20 gallons of water is a strain on my bad back. I'll add less on next flush I'll just keep adding water to the res to keep pH in range.

Well when I woke up this morning pH was 5.6 and ppms was 530 so I think I may have found where she likes to be. That's not 3/4 strength nutes so I'll back nutes down to 1/2-2/3 strength and go from there. I think this girl like to eat her food in the first couple days of fresh nutes and then stores what she needs fot the rest of the week and just gets her drink on Man I really wish I had space as I would like to keep this girl and continue to run her. I'm just to eager to pop these other beans I've been hoarding and focusing on that one or maybe two strains. I'll see how this goes if this girl looks to be a keeper to me I may just have to monstercrop a clone from her in flower to keep her and run her again. Might make my setup a 4 plant system or two 2 plant systems with different res'. Cant run two different plants in the same system. Update later with pix she's still looking very good so I'm happy just not happy with the damn res lol

Silica is a buffer and not only make ph rise, it will stabilize it and make it harder to change. PH water after silica is added.

RH is good, 84 is a little warm. is this at canopy or general room temp? if its even hotter at canopy you will get a ton of stretch wih BD.

water temps should be in 60's

Lmao you a silly man Eastcoast. It's crazy yo I've never had that happen before even in person so I was more shocked than anything. I'm sure he has insecurities about a lot of stuff. I'm not even tripping about it all. That's one thing my Grandma taught me when I was young "people will talk about you till the day you die why stress about something that you have no control over". I've never cared too much about what a person has to say about me unless it was someone I cared for and valued what they think

Thanks for the tips; glad to have you here. I use Silica everytime I add fresh nutes to the res. I've been using between half and full strength. When adding it to the res I add it first before anything and there's nothing in the water for it to bond too. I tried adding it in after adding base first and no matter how long I let the base mix in it always turns cloudy. I got a sample of GenHydro Silica and their directions say to add first then base so I figured I would do this with CYCO Silica and it has mixed in very well everytime. If I pHed it after adding it first my pH will go down from the pH it was set at cus my base lowers pH.

84 is room temp it's prolly a couple degrees lower at the canopy cus the light are about 2 1/2 feet away. Would be further than that if I didn't have the pot raised up. It's still stretching pretty good now. She covers the whole pot up now and has over 30 tips/tops so I'm letting her grow up for a while now. I tied her down today so I won't fool with her for a week. Thanks for the help again.

Yes she was bro. She was 96 when she passed but was born 1916 so she lived through the Great Depression and all the racists times so she was very wise. Miss her to death.

My fault on the pix bro was gonna put some up yesterday but I got sidetracked all day. My mother in law is came in town yesterday so I was busy preparing for that.
