What do you use besides a nute base of A + B?

So far I've just been growing in Coco using Dutch Master Gold A + B Grow / Flower with some extra CalMag thrown in for good measure. I'm looking for something a little extra to utilize this season in terms of nutrients.

What other products would you deem essential for your grows besides the base nutrients of any given brand of A + B?

Thanks!

Nothing else needed, your plants will have the 16 nutrient elements it needs from the A and B and the calmag.

A good "root " stimmulator and Bloom Boosters also "superthrive" would no hurt. If want names let me know. Cal-Mag also; but watch your use =- easy to get "n" toxicity with it's use "a little goes a long way"

some kind of Folic acid like diamond nectar or something. idk what your skill level is but if u can read your plants real well the id suggest going with some floralicious plus or bloombastic (expensive), ive done side by side grows with each and saw enough difference to be worth it, $80 for Bloombastic. u need to tinker with each one, Floralicious works better on certain strains than Bloombastic. and some do better with something different. one thing i dont go without anymore is Great White, its a live microbial blend with many types of trychoderma etc. apply it every few weeks it will not only keep the root zone happy and healthy but it will drastically cut back your need for N during transition especially, setting up some tight nodes (if u want u can read a more detailed scientific explanation of why this helps on my journal). also, especially if u use microbes, supplement the carbohydrates with something like sweet (what i use) or black strap molasses, anything with simple sugars. as mentioned above some Superthrive is great as well, particularly during veg. if you don't want to shell out the money for those PK boosters i mentioned earlier, u cant go wrong with the Humboldt line of PK boosters. ive used those for years, i have grown fond of the Crystal Burst also have great luck with Snow Storm Ultra, all of them really, but for me the Bloombastic is better.

Personally I use
Base A/B
Ca
Mg
Small amount of PK booster if required.
Si (as pH up)

I had been using an enzyme product and a root stimulator but this time around I'm trying without them (will save me £43 per grow).

I hit above 400g regularly from my 400w setup.

Good to know! Dutch Master states on the bottle that you don't need any additional magnesium / calcium, however I've seen others using the combination with great success. I generally only put in 1 tbsp per 2 gallons of water.

Thanks for the great info. Great White Shark looks great, unfortunately I can't seem to find it available locally or online in Australia.

As for PK boosters, I noticed Dutch Master had a product called POTASH+: ( http://www.dutchmaster.com.au/?language=english&page=product&product=POTASH ) which I've been looking at. What do you think?

In fact, I wouldn't mind picking up Add.27, Saturator, Liquid Light, Zone and Silica from the whole Dutch Master line-up. :bigjoint:

Besides A + B, they could use a zero interest rate policy throughout both veg and flowering..

Don't bother with it. The main ingredient is dipotassium phosphate (K2HPO4).

You can either buy that chemical directly, or even better, buy mono-potassium phosphate (KH2PO4), which is lower in K but has a lower pK than K2HPO4.

KH2PO4 will tend to lower the pH while K2HPO4 tends to raise it. (depending on what's already in the solution to start with)

You mean "Fulvic" acid?

A real good source of Fulvic and Humic acid is SEA GREEN.
I love this stuff. Strong up-take medicine!
