Catching a salmon is on my bucket list, let me know .
How about next year we plan in advance and do it like the Maverick Surf Contest....we pick a window of time during the prime of the season, I'll watch the fish reports and everyone be ready to go on a 1,2,3 day notice. When they are catching limits, I'll ring the bell, we'll all have a good chance of catching salmon...and anybody that has never caught a salmon can catch my fish also...;)

Its times like this I'm glad I don't eat fish. Nothing from the sea. Only grass fed, range free for me. There is a butcher who provides local, humanely grown meat and poultry. Pricey but healthy and as guilt free for me as it gets.
:-) :-)
we have a lot of range fed humanely grown meat and its cheap , just need a large shit scoop to scrape it off the road . did i mention it is usually pretenderized by a car, truck or two ?

TWS, if I had to butcher my own meat I'd be the biggest vegan on the planet.

20 min down the road from the Monterey marina:-D. Let you know if I have any luck
I little tip, it's helped me a few times....if you cannot get a spot at the rear, pick a spot up the starboard (right) side. The Capt's wheelhouse is located on the starboard side, so when turning around, most of the time they turn to the right because they can see better. If your on the starboard side this puts your line out away from the boat, the guy's on the port side will have their lines under the boat & get tangled easier.......just sayin....
