milk jugs into containers?

anyone have experience doing this? i used all my cloth pots and have to come up with about 10 more pots. someone please tell me the pros and cons ?

paint them black and put holes in the bottom

I have used plastic cans before . Works well.

make a hempy bucket out of a milk jug you'll love it

Milk jugs degrade quickly. Doubt they would remain intact before you got ready to harvest. They sell pots everywhere.

I used some this year, outdoors they fall apart fast and get HOT AS HELL. Indoors they are okay. Drill holes.

2 and 3 liter soda bottles make for some good little diy pots as well. Especially f you can manage to snag the big plastic containers they come on pallets in. Great little handles on the side so you can move em all around easily.

graveyard after a holiday.....get all the pots you can fit in your car.

My local home depot throws away hundreds of pots every week.

gal empty pop from Dollar Tree, (3 litre soda pop bottle, liquid measurement is not same as growing pot, if your trying to use math), cut them off just at the top where they start to to reduce for cap.. i cut a small hole in each leg on bottom for drainage. i use these over and over from clone / seed stage until i put in 5 gal buckets. milk jugs will work but you have to sterilize them or any residue from the milk can cause you problems.

they throw em in a dumpster a week after holiday....i get them from the dumpster after i ask permission!!!

Check out my 12/12 sig grow. I did exactly this. 3 phases of 8 plants each in 2L Coke bottles spray painted black, along with the crates they are shipped in. Works VERY well.

There's a big cemetery near me, in the very back they throw all the plants and flowers over a hill, it makes a great place to get some free nitrogen rich compost!!
