I wouldn't have any problems if it was legal to grow and possess, but illegal to sell. I'm not interested in making money off of it, I would just like to be able to grow and smoke as much as I want without worrying about getting arrested. If everyone was allowed to grow, without any plant count limitations, than there would be so much weed around it wouldn't be a big deal to just give some away to friends.
so...weed and pussy

What about religious freedom we still have those right Jesus Christ used hashish its what made him "die" in a day and a half soma was used instead of the wine we use today and loafs of bread didn't exist back then but hash has existed in loaf form since then soma was used during the crusades it slows the heat rate slow stops bleeding and breathing is immeasurable

You want to talk about religious freedom, try being an atheist in the south... or even a non-denominatinal abstract/ambiguous meta-spiritualist (because who knows, maybe there's a "something" out there, somewhere... but if so, whatever it might be, is definitely not what has been described in any of the "holy books")

The only bad thing I can think could come from this is your neighbors growing males and having their crappy pollen floating around for miles.

I used to feel this way as well, but now I that I've finally gotten pretty good a growing, and my yields exceed what I can use in a reasonable amount of time, I sure would like to sell the excess to pay for my expenses. But I'm just too damn scared.

They should simply allow it to be declared and treated as legal income, just like any other goods or services a person may render for monetary compensation. If you sell nothing, there should be no tax or law against growing and consuming and sharing with other consenting adults. If you sell more than, let's say $1k/year, it would be acceptable for them to ask you to claim it as taxable income. Perhaps there could or "should" be some kind of licensing required for "more than personal" sales...

And of course, that tends to provoke the "but everyone would just grow weed and sell it!" argument, which is farcical. They keep trying to act like it's a bad thing that people enjoy cannabis, but it isn't. They keep trying to use the addiction argument, but what if i WANT to be "addicted" to cannabis? What if i want to be free to grow and use at my own discretion? What if i plan to use a gram a day for the rest of my life? It's MY life, and *I* decide the parameters and conditions of my pursuits of happiness, and because i voluntarily adhere to the non-aggression principle, i should be completely free to do whatever i want, in accordance with that principle, and this one: "Take no liberty which impinges that of another."

Whether i choose to be a "productive citizen" or "contribute" or "participate in society," is MY choice, and is none of the government's business! (of course, they will argue that restricting my choices in order to profit from my existence IS their business... and while that may indeed describe their business, they are taking a liberty which injuriously impinges mine, without my consent, which means they are in violation of my rights! And they insist they are "justified" in arbitrarily authorizing themselves to do so!)

The first thing the government will ask is for regulations specifying the safety of your product.
Then they will ask you to submit to inspections.
Pay for licensing.
Bonding
Lab tests.
Packaging requirements
Or like in Arizona tell you you cannot grow within 25 miles of a dispensary for any reason.
Maybe they will want you to put rfid tags on your plants lime Colorado
