Needing a bit of input.

Hey guys. I had a feeling that my plants were getting root bound by the slow growth or no growth I was getting. I also had an issue where one of my fans went out and temps got to about 94-98. Yikes! I had some crazy rust looking color washed leaves and was looking for a bit of input on what this might be. I went a little heavy with back to back nute water(FF Grow Big) forgetting that I had already nute fed. I transplanted them tonight because of being slow going for a little over a week. I pulled one of my bigger ones and found a nice root ball going, but my planter had no room left for growth! Here's a few pics. Let me know what you guys think could be this rust looking area on the leaves, maybe heat, maybe nute burn, both? 1398390500631.jpg1398390500631.jpg1398390547212.jpg

Here is my best looking larger one that you can kind of see in the right on one of the pics. Not had many problems from this one.

start slow on nutes. as they get bigger increase. use the fan to move air across the tops. keep temps under 84 F. 80-82 is perfect. your leaves are dark green its getting nute lock. its having issues breathing. they need co2 so make sure fresh air in is as much as air out.
other than that they look great. they are weeds and are surviving great. i would use a little less veg nutes.

Cool. Thanks for the information. I leave my grow closet door cracked during the day to get them some fresh air. Should I open the window in this room as well? I thought hopefully by cracking the door for about 10 hours would get them enough fresh air. Any tips on how to correct the nute lock? I'm going to search the forum as I'm sure there are tons of posts on it.

you need to put a small fan in the opening of the door to get them more air in most houses the co2 rating is close to 600 which is plenty. in my closet i have a turbo 230 cfm fan pumping in air from under my house and im using a big fan in front of closet door to push in air from next room that is cooled to keep my temps at 82 max. i think they only need more air movement to help yours better. do they get any air movement and fresh air at night?

For the most part. I do leave my fan on 24/7 for movement as I read about it assisting with thicker stalk growth. I do however shut the doors mostly with only a small crack or closed all the way. As far the the question about checking the ph, I do not. I have looked into a few meters, but won't be able grab one for a few weeks. Any cheaper solutions for checking ph?

The burned tips are from over feeding. They'll bounce back but the tips will not turn green on the damaged leaves. just watch you don't keep over feeding. A lot of those brands give feeding rates that I think are too high. You can always give less but once you give more, it's hard to undo the damage.

yes the feeding is usually based on hydro. so always feed 1/2 what they say if it loves 1/2 then try 3/4. but again slowly raise and test.okay off to work cya all later.

Sweet. Thanks for the model numbers. I will pick these up immediately. I have halted nutes for now. I am going to give them another plain water flush and then try 1/4 of the nutes I used last time after they use up what's in the FFOF since I just transplanted.
